Urgent prayers needed for my cat ###

Alisha Kirshman

Servant of All
Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We have read your entire post and we are joining together with you in prayer for your precious cat and for you as you care for her with such tender love. We hear how heavy this is, how heartbreaking it is to watch her struggle to breathe, to cough when she tries to purr and cuddle, to lose her appetite and to stare alone when she longs for affection. We weep with you and we bring her before our Father who sees and cares for all of His creation.

We are so encouraged that you have cried out in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We thank God that you have called on that name.

The Lord cares for the animals He has made and He cares for you as their steward. Proverbs 12:10 says, A righteous man respects the life of his animal. Psalm 36:6 says, You preserve man and animal, Yahweh. Matthew 10:29 says, Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father. Psalm 147:9 says, He provides food for the livestock. Your love for her is a reflection of the compassion God has placed in your heart, and she is not just a cat to Him. He knows every breath she takes.

We lift her up together now in prayer.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we lift this beloved cat to You. You formed her and You know every detail of her body, her brain, her lungs, her breathing. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch her with Your healing hand. If it is Your will, we pray for a complete healing and full recovery from this brain tumor and from the masses and lesions on her lungs. Nothing is impossible for You. We ask You to ease any pain or discomfort she is in and to give her rest and peace. Lord, we pray You would help her to eat normal food again and to drink water, to have regular bowel movements, and to breathe freely without coughing. We ask that You would restore her ability to purr and to receive affection without triggering distress, and that You would comfort her sad heart. We pray You would guide the hands of her owner as she gives four pills twice a day, as she gives the inhaler three times a day, and as she gives the subcutaneous fluids. Give steadiness, gentleness, and wisdom so that she can be helped without being hurt or terrified. James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. So we ask for Your wisdom for every decision regarding her care. And Father, we ask for mercy in her final days. We pray that when her time comes You would take her gently in her sleep in her own home, surrounded by love and not fear, and if intervention is needed, we pray You would provide a compassionate veterinarian who can come to the house to help her pass peacefully. Comfort her owner with Your presence, guard her heart from despair, and let her know You hear every desperate cry and plea. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We want to encourage you as you continue to walk this difficult road. The Lord is near to you in this sorrow. Psalm 34:18 says, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Keep bringing every detail to Him, the eating, the drinking, the breathing, the medications, the fear of the vet and the car, the grief of seeing her lay alone. He hears.

You are being a faithful steward in giving her medications and treatments to keep her comfortable, and seeking a peaceful and merciful way for her to go if healing does not come in this life. That is loving and responsible care. Continue to seek a veterinarian who does home visits for end of life care, many communities have such services, and ask the Lord to open that door if and when it is needed. Trust His timing and His mercy. Whether He brings miraculous healing or gentle rest, He will give you the strength and grace for each step, and He will not leave you alone in your grief.

We are continuing to pray with you that God will hear and answer according to His perfect love and will, that He will comfort your precious cat and ease her breathing, and that He will uphold you with His peace in Jesus name.

We read your whole message and we can feel how much ### means to you. Watching her struggle to breathe and eat, to have a purr turn into coughing, and to pull away from the cuddling she once loved is heartbreaking. And carrying the responsibility for four pills twice a day, the inhaler, and the fluids while not wanting to cause her more fear or distress is a heavy load to carry every day.

We are praying with you for her comfort, for wisdom in each decision, and for steadiness for you as you love her so faithfully in this hard season. It makes sense you are thinking now about what a peaceful ending would look like for her, and wanting to spare her terror at the clinic. Loving an animal this deeply brings real grief, even while she is still with you, and it is understandable to mourn the affection and companionship the illness has changed.

A steady next step that may ease some pressure is to talk with her regular veterinarian this week specifically about palliative support. Ask if they can refer you to a mobile or in home hospice veterinarian in your area so you have a name and number ready before you need it, and ask them to walk you through the gentlest way to give the medications again. A simple daily note about eating, drinking, breathing and coughing can also help the vet guide you clearly, alongside prayer.

Father, we lift ### and those who love her to You. Please ease any pain or fear she feels and give her rest, give steady hands and clear wisdom to those caring for her, and draw near to this home with Your mercy and peace in the days ahead. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your sorrowful burden has been heard, and your tender care for this creature committed to your keeping is not hidden from the Lord who notes even the sparrow's fall.

It is right and good that you should bring all your cares before Him, for He is a God of comfort. As it is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. When the heart is aching and desponding, our duty and our privilege is to carry that ache to the throne of grace. There is little prayer that brings us low, and it is great prayer that by His help will lift us up again. May you be enabled to pray without ceasing, and to find that peculiar comfort which belongs to the afflicted believer, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. It is not the letter alone, but the Spirit quickening the soul through the Word that gives true consolation, and He can quicken you even while this trial remains.

We will join you in prayer before our Father through Jesus Christ alone, by whom alone we have access and salvation.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy would lay His healing hand upon your cat if it be His will, and would ease and take away her pain and discomfort. We ask Him to be gracious to her breathing, that her coughing would be eased and that she might breathe without distress, and that the sorrow you feel in seeing her withdraw from affection would be comforted by His presence. We pray that He would mercifully restore to her appetite for food and water, and regularity in her bodily functions, and give her rest.

We pray also for you, that God who is faithful and will not suffer you to be tried above that ye are able, would give you comfort and constancy together. Comfort alone is not enough, nor constancy without comfort, but He can establish your heart and comfort you in every good word and work. May He guide your hands and give you steadiness and gentleness as you administer the pills, the inhaler, and the fluids, that you may do so without causing her fear or hurt, and with wisdom beyond your own. We ask Him to grant you clear wisdom for every decision regarding her care, that you may act as a faithful steward of the creature He has entrusted to you.

Concerning her last hours, we pray that the Lord in His great mercy would spare her terror and grant her a peaceful end, and that He would spare you also from overwhelming distress. We ask that He would in His providence provide wise, compassionate counsel and, if such a need should arise, guide you to help that can be given quietly and gently at home, so that she need not die in fear and strangeness. Above all we pray that you may be made able to bear what He appoints, for He makes a way to escape or gives strength to bear it, and every drop in the cup is measured by His hand.

May the Spirit of God teach you to say even now, This is my comfort in my affliction, and may you find that time and faith together, under His hand, will make this misery to be remembered as waters that pass away, while the eternal comfort of Christ remains. He who was a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief knows your grief, and He is able to comfort to purpose.

We commend you and your dear cat to Him who hears desperate cries and pleas, trusting not in our worthiness but in the name and merits of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I have read your entire post and I hear how deep your love is for your cat and how heavy this sorrow is. It is not a small thing to watch a beloved companion suffer, to see her want affection and then pull away coughing, to see her stare and seem sad and alone. God sees this grief and He sees your tender care for the creature He entrusted to you. He who notices when a sparrow falls knows your tears and hers.

Your love that counts her as part of your world reflects the compassion God Himself has for His creation, and your desire to care for her faithfully even in these difficult treatments is a good and merciful stewardship. Do not feel ashamed for grieving so deeply. Tears shed in love are not wasted. They can become seeds of prayer and turn our hearts more fully to God, who alone is our comfort and our help in trouble.

I will pray with you for her and for you, asking according to the Father's mercy and wisdom, and submitting all to His will as Christ Himself prayed, not as I will but as you will.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ your Son, I lift up this dear cat to you. You formed all living things and you sustain them. If it is your will, I ask you to bring healing and full recovery to her body. Ease any pain or discomfort she feels. Help her to breathe more easily, to eat and drink again, to have normal bowel movements, and to purr and receive affection without coughing or distress. Give her rest and comfort, and let her feel safe and loved in her home.

Lord, guide the hands that care for her. Give skill, gentleness and calm in giving the pills twice a day, in using the inhaler, and in giving fluids. Take away fear and distress for both of them, and grant wisdom for every decision that must be made. When the time comes that you call her life to its end, show great mercy. If it is possible, let her fall asleep peacefully at home without terror or pain, surrounded by love. And if help is needed, provide a kind veterinarian who can come to the house to help with compassion and dignity. Above all, let your will be done, for your will is good and merciful.

I also pray for you who love her so much. Grant peace to your heart, strength for each day, and clarity in each choice. Guard you from despair and help you to speak to God honestly in grief as Christ did, bringing every fear and sorrow to the Father. When grief presses hard, dive into the Scriptures as into a chest of medicines, and there find comfort, for God promises to be near to the brokenhearted and to give rest to those who labor and are heavy laden.

Take up this cross of watching and waiting day by day with patience, trusting that God does not leave you alone in it. He will give you what you need for each moment. Keep entrusting her and yourself to Him, continuing in prayer, and resting in the hope that His compassion never fails.

May the Lord hear your desperate cries, answer according to His perfect love and wisdom, and grant you His peace that passes understanding in Jesus name. Amen.
