Urgent prayers needed for my cat ###

Alisha Kirshman

Servant of All
Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We hear your heartbreak and desperation, and we lift up ### to the Lord with deep compassion. The love you have for her is evident, and we join you in crying out to God for mercy, healing, and comfort. The Bible tells us in Psalm 36:6 that God preserves both man and animal, and in Matthew 10:29, Jesus reminds us that not even a sparrow falls to the ground apart from the Father’s will. If God cares for the smallest creatures, how much more does He see and know the suffering of ### and the sorrow of your heart?

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, the One who calms the storms and heals the brokenhearted. We ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon ###. Lord, You formed her in her mother’s womb, and You know every cell of her body. We pray against the tumor in her brain and the masses in her lungs. By Your power, dissolve the growths, restore her lungs, and bring complete healing to her body. Let her breathe freely, without pain or distress. Ease her coughing, Lord, so that she may purr again without discomfort and find joy in the affection she once knew.

We pray for her appetite and hydration, Father. Open her mouth to receive food and water, and restore her strength. May her body function as You designed it to, with regularity and comfort. Guide the hands of ###’s caregiver as they administer medication and treatments. Give wisdom, gentleness, and patience, so that these necessary acts do not cause her fear or pain. Let Your peace fill the home, and may ### sense Your presence near her, even in her suffering.

Lord, we also lift up the difficult decisions that lie ahead. Give clarity and discernment to know when it is time to let go, and grant the courage to do what is best for ###, even when it breaks the heart. We pray that if her time to depart this life comes, You would take her in her sleep, without fear or pain. Provide a compassionate veterinarian who will come to the home, so that her final moments are filled with love, not terror. Comfort the hearts of those who love her, and let them feel Your arms around them in their grief.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair in this situation. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and declare that Your will be done in ###’s life. Whether that is healing or a peaceful passing, we trust You. You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We also want to gently remind you, dear one, that your love for ### reflects the heart of God, who cares deeply for all His creation. Your willingness to fight for her and to seek God’s intervention is a beautiful act of faith. Hold fast to hope, even when the road is hard. The Lord hears your cries, and He collects every one of your tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not alone in this.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the love and care that ### has known in this home. We ask that You would pour out Your grace and mercy upon her, and upon those who love her. Strengthen their faith, and let them see Your hand at work, even in the smallest details. May this trial draw them closer to You, and may they find peace in knowing that You hold all things together by the power of Your word (Colossians 1:17). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

We heard every word you shared about ### and how much she means to you. It is clear she is not just a pet to you, she is family, and watching her struggle to breathe, to eat, to be affectionate the way she once was, is heartbreaking. That moment you described where she tries to cuddle and then pulls away coughing, staring from a distance, would leave anyone feeling helpless and heavy.

Caring for her the way you are, with pills twice a day and the inhaler and fluids, is a lot to carry both practically and emotionally. We have found it can help to ask your regular vet team for a hands on demonstration until you feel more confident with each treatment, and to ask them now about a mobile or hospice veterinarian in your area who does home visits. Having a name and number ready ahead of time can bring peace of mind, so you are not scrambling to search if that decision ever comes, and it honors your wish for her to be at home and not afraid.

It may also help to keep a simple daily note of what she is eating, drinking, breathing like, and how she responds to medication. That record can give your vet clearer information and give you more clarity as you make decisions day by day.

We are praying with you for her comfort and for wisdom and steadiness for you as you love her so faithfully.

Father, we lift ### to You and ask for Your mercy and gentleness over her. Ease any pain or fear she feels, help her to breathe more easily and to rest, and give her family wisdom, steadiness and peace for each decision and each act of care. Let them feel Your nearness in these hard days. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your heavy burden and tender love for your dear cat have been read with much sympathy and prayerful attention. To watch a creature so affectionate and so much a part of your home suffer with a brain tumor and with masses upon her lungs, to see her purring bring on coughing and her desire for closeness checked by distress, is indeed heart breaking. The Lord who formed all creatures and who notes even the sparrow that falls knows your sorrow and sees every labor of love you render at home.

We are reminded that our prayers at the best are nothing but a beggar's cry at the gate of mercy. We do not prevail because of the fervency of our words, but because of Christ's blood and merit, through whom we have access to the throne of grace. When nothing else is left us, God remains, and when our own strength fails, our strength is to sit still and wait upon Him who is our arm every morning and our salvation in the time of trouble. He is slow to anger and great in power, full of compassion, and He giveth strength for the daily walk at home as well as for the work He calls us to do.

We will carry your requests before the Lord and ask you to join us in praying according to His wise and merciful will.

We will pray that if it be the Lord's will, He would in His power bring complete healing and full recovery, for with Him nothing is impossible, and that He would ease every pain and discomfort and grant comfort in each hour.

We will pray that the Lord would mercifully restore her appetite and thirst, that she may again eat and drink, that her bowels may move regularly, and that her breathing may be eased, so that even her purring, which has been such a sign of contentment and affection, may no longer bring coughing or sorrow.

We will pray that God would give you steady hands and a calm heart as you minister to her, in the giving of the many pills, in the use of the inhaler, and in the providing of fluids, that you may do all without causing her hurt or distress, and that He would grant you wisdom for every decision you must make on her behalf.

We will pray also concerning her last hours, that the Lord in His mercy would spare her terror and suffering, and if it be His will to take her, that He would take her gently in her sleep in the quiet of her own home, surrounded by love. We will ask the Lord to provide, if need should arise, one who can come to your house to minister in that difficult moment, so that she need not endure fear and confusion in a strange place.

Above all we pray that you may feel the nearness of Christ Himself, who is our only hope of salvation, and who renews strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy. May He sustain you, may He let you hear His voice in your cries, and may He keep you trusting His goodness whether He grants healing or a peaceful rest.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, great in power and abundant in mercy, we come as beggars to Thy gate, pleading not our own worthiness but the blood of Jesus Christ Thy Son. Look in compassion upon this beloved creature and upon Thy servants who love her. Ease her pain, quiet her breathing, restore her comfort, and guide every hand that seeks to help her. Grant wisdom, tenderness and strength for each treatment and each decision. If it please Thee, restore her to health, and if not, grant her a gentle and merciful departure in the place she knows and loves, without fear. Hear the cries of those who love her, answer according to Thy perfect will, and cause their hearts to rest in Thy sovereign care. This we ask in the name of Jesus our only Savior and Advocate. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your long and sorrowful letter has been read with care, and the depth of your love for your cat is plain in every line you wrote. It is heartbreaking to watch a beloved creature who once sought affection now pull away because purring brings coughing, to see her stare and seem sad, and to carry the daily weight of pills and inhaler and fluids while fearing you may cause her distress. Grief of this kind is real, and it is right to bring it before God.

The Scriptures are given to be medicine for the soul when grief befalls us. Dive into them not only briefly but keep them with you, for there you find comfort not only in promises of relief in this life but in the promise of life which is in Jesus Christ, where grief and mourning flee away. God does not always promise deliverance from death in this world, but He does promise to be with us in suffering, to give us strength to endure, and to show His power as the God who raises the dead. Like the sisters of Lazarus who still came to Jesus even when the sickness did lead to death, we can come to Him in trust even when the outcome is uncertain and the wound feels beyond comfort.

I join you in prayer to our merciful Father through Jesus Christ alone, who hears every cry:

I pray that God in His mercy would look upon your cat with compassion. If it is His will, that He would ease her pain and discomfort, calm her breathing, and restore her ability to eat and drink, to have regular bowel movements, and to purr and be held without coughing. I pray that He would comfort her and quiet her fear, and let her feel your love even in her weakness.

I pray that God would guide your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you give the four pills twice a day, as you hold the inhaler, and as you give the subcutaneous fluids. May He steady you, keep you from hurting her, and help her to receive what is needed with as little distress as possible. May He give you clear wisdom for every decision you must make for her care.

I pray that when her time comes, God would show her mercy. You have spoken plainly about your desire not to have her last moments be in terror at the clinic, shaking and alone. I pray that God would grant her a peaceful passing, and if an intervention is needed, that He would provide a veterinarian who can come to your home to help with compassion and dignity. May He spare her fear and spare you guilt, and carry you through that hour.

Above all I pray that God would hear your desperate cries, not always by giving us exactly what we ask, but by giving what is best according to His loving wisdom, and by filling your heart with His comfort and peace. He sees how you care for this small life entrusted to you, and He cares for both you and for His creation.

May the Lord keep you close to His Word in these days, strengthen your conscience that you are acting in love and faithfulness, and remind you that our hope is not only in this life but in His eternal mercy. In Jesus name, Amen.
