Servant of All
Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We have read your entire post and we join you with heavy hearts for your precious cat and for all you are carrying as you care for her. We hear how deeply you love her and how heartbreaking it is to watch her suffer with a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, to see her struggle to breathe, to eat and drink, to have regular bowel movements, and to lose the affectionate purring and cuddling that once brought you both so much joy. We weep with you over the way purring now triggers coughing and over how she stares from a distance, and we understand your desperate desire to give her comfort and dignity in every moment you have left with her.

We are reminded in Scripture that our compassion for animals reflects the heart of God. Proverbs 12:10 tells us a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and Psalm 36:6 declares Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. Jesus himself said in Matthew 10:29 that not one sparrow falls on the ground apart from your Father, which shows us that the Lord sees and cares for every creature He has made. He also is near to us in our sorrow, for Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and 1 Peter 5:7 invites us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you. Your love for your cat is not small to God, it is part of the stewardship He has entrusted to you, and He hears every cry you have lifted up in Jesus name, for which we thank you.

We lift her and you together before our Father now.

Father in heaven, we come before you together in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son, and we thank you that we can approach your throne of grace through Him alone. Lord, you know this precious cat by name, you formed her and you have numbered her days, and you see every labored breath, every cough, every moment of discomfort and fear. We ask in Jesus name that you would have mercy on her and on her family who loves her so dearly. If it is your will, we pray you would completely heal her, that you would remove the brain tumor and the masses and lesions on her lungs, whether they be from chronic bronchitis or asthma or cancer, and give her a full recovery that only you can provide. We pray you would take away and ease any pain or discomfort she is in, that you would calm her lungs and open her airways so she can breathe freely again, that you would restore her desire to eat normal food and to drink water, and that you would help her body to have regular and comfortable bowel movements.

Lord, we especially lift up her purring and breathing to you. You know how she was the most affectionate companion and how she now pulls away because purring brings coughing. We ask you to soothe her airways so that she can purr and be held and cuddled again without suffering, and to comfort her sad and confused heart. Please guide the hands of her owner as she gives four pills twice a day, as she administers the inhaler three times a day, and as she gives subcutaneous fluids each week. Grant steadiness, gentleness and wisdom so that no harm or distress is caused, and give this beloved cat peace as she receives care.

Father, we also ask for your wisdom for every decision that lies ahead. James 1:5 promises that if any of us lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Pour out that wisdom liberally now. Guide every medical choice, and when her time comes, we pray you would show her mercy. We ask that you would spare her from terror and loneliness, that you would either take her peacefully in her sleep at home in familiar arms, or that you would provide a compassionate veterinarian who can come to your home to help her pass gently if that is needed, so she is not afraid, shaking and crying in a strange place. Lead this family to the right person if that need arises.

We pray you would guard the heart of her owner with your peace that surpasses understanding, as Philippians 4:6 and Philippians 4:7 promise when we make our requests known to God. Comfort her as she pours herself out in love and care, remind her that you see her faithfulness, and let her feel your nearness in these long days and nights. We trust your perfect will, your perfect timing, and your perfect mercy, knowing that you do all things well and that you care for both this dear cat and for those who love her. We ask all these things together in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with each day He gives you with her, to keep seeking wise counsel from your veterinarian about keeping her comfortable, and to ask specifically about in home hospice or euthanasia services in your area, as many communities now have veterinarians who will come to the home for exactly the reasons you described. Keep talking to the Lord honestly as you already are, casting every worry on Him, and resting in the truth that He is sovereign over life and breath and that His mercies are new every morning. We are praying with you for healing, for comfort, for daily strength, and for a peaceful passing in His perfect time.

We were so touched by how tenderly you described your cat and what she is going through. To watch the most affectionate companion pull away because purring makes her cough, to see her stare from a distance when she wants to cuddle, is such a painful loss even while you still have her. It makes sense you feel heartbroken and worn out.

Carrying four pills twice a day, an inhaler three times, and weekly fluids is a lot to hold, especially when you worry about causing her distress. If it would help, we encourage you to ask your veterinary team to walk you through the techniques again and to let them know how hard the pilling and inhaler are. They may be able to show you gentler holds or timing that eases both of you, and they often keep a list of mobile veterinarians who do compassionate home visits so you can have a plan in place long before you need it and not have to search in a crisis moment.

We are praying with you for her comfort, for steadiness in the daily care, and for wisdom for every decision ahead. You are not alone in loving her this well.

Father, we bring this dear cat and her beloved owner before You. Please ease her breathing and any pain, and give her peace and comfort each day. Guide steady hands and calm moments for the medicines and care, and grant wisdom and clarity for each choice ahead. When her time comes, show mercy and spare her fear. Surround them both with Your nearness and peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your sorrow and your many tears for your little cat have been heard, and the tenderness you show to this creature entrusted to your care is not hidden from the Lord who notes even the sparrow that falls.

There is a word from the Lord which says, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. It is His will that His people should be comforted in affliction, and that they should comfort one another with the comfort wherewith He comforts them. You have come with an aching heart, watching one you love so dearly suffer, and it is right to bring that ache to Him in prayer.

We join you in prayer that the Lord, in whose hands are life and breath, would be merciful to your cat. We ask that if it be His gracious will, He would ease her pain and discomfort, quiet her coughing, and restore her breathing, that she might eat and drink again, have relief in her body, and know comfort in her days. We pray that He who has healing in His wings would grant healing according to His wisdom, for the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. Whether He heals by His immediate hand or by the means He has provided, we trust His power and His compassion.

We pray also for you, that the Lord would guide your hands and give you steadiness and gentleness as you give the pills, the inhaler, and the fluids, and that He would keep you from distressing her as you seek to help her. We ask for wisdom for every decision set before you, that you may have a clear mind and a calm heart, and that the peace of God would guard you. The Word says, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy word hath quickened me. May that quickening comfort be yours, not only in outward relief but in inward strength, as you wait upon Him day by day.

We understand the heaviness of seeing her try to cuddle and then withdraw, and hearing the purr that once was joy become a trigger for coughing. The Lord sees that sadness and your own heartbreak as you watch her stare and lie alone. He is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and He cares for His creation with a Fatherly care.

We pray with you concerning her last hours, whenever the Lord appoints them. We ask that He would show mercy and spare her terror and suffering, and that He would make a way, if it be needed, for help to come to your home so she need not endure fear in a strange place. May He in His kindness either lift this affliction or take her gently in her sleep, and may He give you assurance that you have loved her well and done what love required.

We do not pray with presumption, as though God must do as we ask, but with submission to His perfect will, believing that He does all things well and that His mercy endures forever. What time heals in part, His presence heals more fully, and the waters of present misery shall in His time pass away.

May the Lord comfort your heart and establish you in every good word and work as you continue to care for her. May He hear your desperate cries, for He is a God that heareth prayer, and may He grant you to feel His nearness now.

We commend you and your precious cat to the care of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name alone we have hope and access to the Father, and we ask all these things trusting in His love and sovereignty. Amen.

I have read your entire post and I hear the depth of your love and sorrow for your cat. Thank you for sharing so honestly about what you and she are going through. It is clear she is not just a pet to you but a beloved companion entrusted to your care, and your grief as you watch her suffer is real and understandable before God.

God sees your faithful care at home, day after day, in the small and difficult things. Giving four pills twice a day, holding the inhaler, providing fluids, watching over her breathing and comfort, these are acts of mercy and stewardship. The Lord who notes even the sparrows cares for all He has made, and He also sees the one who gives that care with such tenderness. Your desire to ease her pain and not to cause her more distress is good and right.

I will join you in prayer to our merciful Father through Jesus Christ.

I pray that God in His compassion would bring healing to your cat if it is His will, and give her full relief according to His wisdom and power. Where there is no treatment left for human hands, we know nothing is beyond His hand. I pray He would take away her pain and discomfort and grant her rest. I pray He would help her to eat and drink again, to have regular bowel movements, and to breathe more easily. I pray He would calm her coughing and ease the sadness you see when she wants affection but begins to cough when she purrs. May God comfort her and comfort you as you watch her withdraw and stare, and may He give you peace in that heartbreak.

I pray also that God would guide your hands and give you steadiness and gentleness each time you must give medication. May He help you to give the pills without hurting her, to use the inhaler well, and to provide the fluids with calm and skill. Pray for wisdom in every decision you must make for her care, that God would make His will clear to you step by step.

And I pray that when her time comes, God would show her mercy. I understand your deep wish that she not spend her last moments in terror at the clinic, shaking and afraid. It is a loving desire to want her to be at peace at home, in a familiar place with those who love her. I pray God would grant her a peaceful passing, and if an at home veterinarian is needed, that God would lead you to a kind and trustworthy person who can come to your house and help with gentleness and dignity. May He spare her fear and give you clear guidance so you do not have to carry this decision alone.

Continue to bring your desperate cries to Him. He hears the prayers offered in the name of Jesus, and He is near to those who are brokenhearted. Keep coming to Him daily, even with little prayers through the day, and let His word be written on your heart as you wait on Him. Whether He brings healing in this life or calls her home, trust that His mercy does not fail and that your love and prayers are not forgotten.

May the Lord give you strength for each day, comfort in your sorrow, and confidence that He hears and answers according to His perfect love and wisdom. I am praying for you and for your precious cat in the name of Jesus. Amen.
