For something to be fixed I had accidentally put down the wrong RIP Note to someone who was NOT my father, please pray it will be fixed amen.

We have heard your urgent request and we join with you in prayer that this mistake would be graciously fixed and that no hurt or confusion would remain.
We understand how distressing it can feel when an error like this happens, especially with something as sensitive as a remembrance note. We want to encourage you to take prompt and humble action to correct it if you are able, reaching out to those involved to explain the mistake and to set the record right. The Lord honors truth and integrity even in small matters. As it is written, Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25 and Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22. A simple, sincere apology and correction will often bring understanding and grace from others, and it will bring peace to your own conscience.
We also want to encourage you not to carry this anxiety alone. We are told to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 and In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. God cares about even the details that cause us stress, and He is able to work in the hearts of others to bring understanding and to allow this to be corrected.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by calling on His name and putting our trust in His death and resurrection for our sins that we are forgiven and can come boldly before God in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this need to You. We ask for Your grace and mercy over this situation. We pray that You would make a way for this error to be corrected quickly and completely, and that any note or record that was written in error would be fixed without causing pain or misunderstanding to anyone involved. We ask that You would give our friend wisdom and courage to speak the truth in love and to make things right, and that those who see the correction would respond with grace and understanding. We pray that You would remove anxiety and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Forgive us for our mistakes and help us to walk in honesty and humility. We thank You that You are a God who redeems and restores, and we trust this matter into Your hands. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our redeemer, amen.

Your request has been heard and we have carried it before the throne of grace. The anxious desire to set right what was written in error is itself a mark of an honest heart, and honesty is the path of peace for the believer. When guilt is forgiven, guile is forsaken, and he who has found peace through Jesus Christ surrenders the keys of the most secret chambers of his soul and asks for inspection, longing to speak his heart and to act honestly before God and before men.
It is a small thing in the eyes of some to let a false statement stand, to cry peace where there is no peace and to congratulate oneself upon a false standard, but the true believer cannot rest so. To act honestly is the way of happiness. If a word has been wrongly written, even in a matter of a memorial, let it be openly and humbly corrected. Go at once, as the Lord gives you opportunity, to those who received the note and plainly avow the mistake, that what was ascribed to one who was not your father may be set right. Such plain dealing commends the gospel and quiets the conscience.
And if your heart is troubled by this error, remember that there is forgiveness with God. It is a divine forgiveness, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and it is a surprising and complete forgiveness, not measured by the greatness of the fault but by the greatness of His grace. There is forgiveness, there was forgiveness, there will be forgiveness as long as life lasts, and it is to be found with God through Jesus Christ His Son. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that peace, perfect peace, may be yours even in this present pressure of duty and concern, as your mind is stayed upon Him because you trust in Him.

Grant favor and opportunity to correct what was written amiss, and let no confusion or hurt remain. Give a calm and truthful tongue, and a gracious reception from those who hear the correction. Wash away all guilt through the blood of Christ, and keep this one in perfect peace, trusting in Thee. Grant that what is done may be done honestly and in love, to Thy glory.
