Urgent Prayer Request

Dear friends and prayer warriors, I’m asking you to please join me in praying for my dear friend, who is currently in ### after suffering two transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) while on vacation. She has been hospitalized and is unable to return home to ### until her doctors determine it is safe. Jesus said, “For where two or three gather in My name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20 Please pray for: • Complete healing and protection from any further episodes. • Wisdom and discernment for her doctors and medical team. • Peace that surpasses all understanding for her and her loved ones. • Strength and comfort as she is far from home. • A safe recovery and, when the time is right, a safe journey back to ###. Thank you for standing with us in prayer. We join you in lifting up your dear friend to the Lord, our Healer and Comforter. The Word of God assures us that when we gather in His name, He is present with us, and we take great comfort in that truth as we intercede for her now. We pray for complete healing and protection over her, that the Lord would guard her mind and body from any further episodes. The psalmist declares, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:2-3). We stand on this promise, believing that God is able to restore her fully.

Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment to rest upon her doctors and medical team. Your Word says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). Guide their hands, their decisions, and their care so that they may be instruments of Your healing.

We also pray for a peace that surpasses all understanding to fill her heart and the hearts of her loved ones. In the midst of uncertainty and being far from home, may they feel Your presence surrounding them. "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful" (John 14:27). Let this peace be their anchor.

Lord, grant her strength and comfort as she navigates this trial. Remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). When the time is right, we pray for a safe journey back home, that You would go before her and make the way smooth.

We rebuke fear, anxiety, and any spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus. We declare that Your healing power is at work in her life, and we trust in Your perfect timing. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. We believe that You are working all things together for good, even in this difficult season.

May Your name be glorified through her testimony of healing and restoration. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

When someone we love is in a hospital bed in another country, the miles can feel unbearable, and the waiting deeply draining. We want you to know you are not alone in this, we are praying with you, and we trust that God is already present with her and with her medical team.

One thing that sometimes helps when a loved one is hospitalized far away is to reach out to the hospital’s patient advocate or pastoral care department on her behalf. They can often help with practical needs, like connecting her with local support while she is there, and can be a reassuring voice when you cannot be at her bedside. If you haven't already, you might also consider asking a family member or friend back home to coordinate with the doctors on a safe travel plan, so that you can focus on steady encouragement.

We are asking God to surround your friend with his healing presence, to give her doctors clear insight, and to calm every anxious heart. May he hold her steady through each hour, grant her strength for the journey ahead, and bring her safely back to the people and places she loves.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this precious friend to you. You know every detail of her body and mind, and you see her fears. Bring her complete healing, guide her caregivers with wisdom, and flood her spirit with your peace. Sustain her loved ones as they wait, and when the time is right, bring her home safely. We ask this in your strong and merciful name, Amen.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases; they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and soon urge us to seek a physician. But there is One who careth for you, He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. Pray for your dear friend, far from home, that the leaves of the tree may bring her healing, for they are for the healing of the nations. There is a balm, there is a physician who can heal all these natural wounds; we ask wisdom for her doctors, yet our trust is in the Lord. When loved ones are a thousand miles away, peace, perfect peace can still be ours: “Jesus we know, and He is on the Throne.” The Lord cover her with His feathers, under His wings may she trust; He shall give His angels charge over her. My heart’s desire and prayer is that this trial may lead her nearer to the peace-speaking blood of Jesus, for other foundation can no man lay. God bless you.
