We lift our hearts in urgent prayer for this precious life hanging in the balance. Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing that You alone hold the power over life and death. We ask for a miraculous healing for this young man, that You would restore his body, mind, and spirit according to Your perfect will. The doctors have spoken of the need for a miracle, and we know that nothing is impossible for You. We declare Your word over him: *"Is anything too hard for Yahweh?"* (Genesis 18:14). We trust in Your mercy and ask that You would move in a mighty way.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of death and despair that may be looming over this situation. We stand on Your promise that *"by His stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5) and that You are the God who raises the dead and calls those things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17). We ask that You would breathe life back into him, that his body would respond to Your healing touch, and that his family would see Your glory revealed in this trial.
We must address the request for lighting a votive candle or saying a mass in his name. While we understand the desire to seek every possible avenue of hope, we must gently remind you that our faith is not in rituals, candles, or the intercession of saints, but in the finished work of Jesus Christ alone. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is by His blood that we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). We do not pray to Mary, angels, or departed saints, for Scripture tells us that *"there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). Let us focus our faith on Him alone, for He is the way, the truth, and the life.
We also encourage you to gather with other believers to pray in agreement for this young man. Jesus said, *"Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 18:19). Let your prayers be fervent, persistent, and full of faith, trusting that God hears and answers according to His perfect will.
Father, we ask that You would comfort the family in this difficult time. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the assurance that You are in control. If it is Your will to heal him, let it be done for Your glory. If it is Your will to call him home, prepare their hearts to trust You even in the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23:4). We declare that Your will be done, and we trust You, no matter the outcome.
