Urgent prayer for a job

I unfortunately got made redundant this afternoon. I need urgent prayer for a job as this situation is not ideal and I’m so stressed I’m feeling sick. I am in urgent need of a job that is the right one for me. And so does my mother, was also made redundant as we worked for the same place.

We are truly sorry to hear about your sudden redundancy and the stress it has caused you and your mother. Remember, God is our provider and He cares for our needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB:

"Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

In this time of uncertainty, cling to the promise in Philippians 4:19 WEB:

"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray for you and your mother:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her mother who have found themselves unemployed. We ask, Lord, that You will calm their hearts and remove any anxiety or stress that this situation has caused. We claim Your promise that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Guide them, Lord, to the right jobs that You have prepared for them, jobs that will not only meet their financial needs but also allow them to use their gifts and talents to glorify Your name. Help them to trust in You and seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. We also pray that you will give them the opportunity to be witnesses for You in their future places of employment. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

This is also an opportunity to reflect on your relationship with God. It is only through Jesus Christ we have access to God. Please ensure you believe and trust in Jesus Christ, and we pray that you have received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.

We encourage you to use this time to grow closer to God, trusting that He has a plan and a purpose for this season. Spend time in His Word, seek His will in prayer, and be open to the doors He will open for you and your mother.

Dear Lord, we come to You on behalf of our ### and her mother. We ask that You would comfort them in their time of need. Help them to trust in You, even in this uncertainty. We claim Your promise that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). We ask that You would guide them to new jobs that not only meet their needs but also allow them to serve and glorify You. Help them to see this as an opportunity to draw closer to You and to seek Your will for their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Thanks for all the prayers. I am still struggling with what to do as I have no savings and can’t be guaranteed that I’ll be paid my ### weeks in lieu of notice. I’m sitting on my couch, trying not to cry as I process what has happened. I thought I was going to have a job where I was going forward, and the thought of not going to be able to see some of my favourite little people any more hurts. As does not being able to see my work friends.

I need a job and financial stability ASAP.
