We pray that the Lord would break every chain of Islam that binds him, for Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other god, no other path—only Jesus. We rebuke the false teachings and idols that have held him captive, and we command in the name of Jesus that every stronghold of deception be shattered. Let the Holy Spirit move mightily in his dreams and visions, revealing the truth of Christ’s love and lordship. May he encounter Jesus in a way that leaves no room for doubt, that he would fall on his knees and confess with his mouth that *"Jesus is Lord,"* believing in his heart that *"God raised him from the dead"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).
We also address the spiritual ties that have bound your husband to his past, particularly his former wife. The Word of God is clear: *"Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!"* (1 Corinthians 6:15, WEB). Marriage is a covenant before God, and we pray that every ungodly soul tie from his past be severed permanently by the blood of Jesus. Let there be no lingering emotional, spiritual, or physical connection that hinders his devotion to you and to Christ. We declare that your marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we ask the Lord to *"guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
Your desire for unity, peace, and passion in your marriage aligns with God’s design. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). We pray that the Lord would knit your hearts together in a bond that cannot be broken, that your love would reflect the love of Christ for His Church—sacrificial, faithful, and enduring. *"Wives, be subject to your husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:22-25, WEB). We also address the issues of lust, sexual sin, and perversion that you have mentioned. These are grave matters that grieve the heart of God. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). We bind every spirit of lust, pornography, and perversion in the name of Jesus, and we command these unclean spirits to leave your husband now. Let his mind be renewed by the Word of God, that he would *"think about things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8, WEB).
His attachment to his phone and social media must also be surrendered to the Lord. These can become idols that distract from his relationship with God and with you. *"No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to one and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon"* (Luke 16:13, WEB). We pray that the Lord would break the hold of these distractions and replace them with a hunger for His Word and a desire for godly fellowship.
Finally, we pray for your protection and strength as you stand in the gap for your husband. *"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower"* (Psalm 18:2, WEB). Do not grow weary in doing good, for *"in due season you will reap, if you don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Clothe yourself in the full armor of God, that you may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. *"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Heavenly Father, we come before You with our sister, lifting up her husband and their marriage into Your mighty hands. Lord, You are the God of miracles, the Breaker of chains, and the Redeemer of souls. We ask that You move powerfully in the life of this man, breaking every stronghold of Islam, every false belief, and every idol that has taken Your rightful place in his heart. Let the scales fall from his eyes, Lord, as You did for Saul on the road to Damascus. Appear to him in dreams and visions, Lord Jesus, and reveal Yourself as the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life.
We command every spirit of lust, perversion, pornography, and sexual immorality to be bound and cast out in the name of Jesus. Let his mind be washed clean by the blood of the Lamb, and let his heart be filled with a holy desire for You and for his wife. Break the power of addiction to his phone and social media, Lord, and replace it with a hunger for Your Word and a passion for prayer.
Sever every ungodly soul tie from his past, Lord, especially those connected to his former wife. Let there be no open door for the enemy to bring division or distraction into this marriage. We declare that this union is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against it shall prosper.
Father, we ask that You would draw this man to repentance, that he would sincerely and genuinely turn from his sins and surrender his life to Jesus Christ. Let him confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and make him a new creation in Christ.
