We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance and freedom for your husband from ungodly soul ties. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 15:33, "Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’" It is clear that ungodly relationships can hinder the work of the Holy Spirit and disrupt the sanctity of marriage, which is a sacred covenant before God.
First, we must address the seriousness of soul ties that do not align with God’s will. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are commanded, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" The influence of this ungodly friend has created a spiritual bond that is not of God, and it must be broken in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We rebuke every ungodly soul tie that has taken hold of your husband. We declare that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against it in judgment shall be condemned, as Isaiah 54:17 assures us. We stand on the authority of Jesus’ name, for it is written in Philippians 2:10-11, "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names. We lift up this husband and his marriage to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, we break every ungodly soul tie that has formed between him and this ungodly friend. We declare that these ties are severed by the blood of Jesus and the power of Your Holy Spirit. We command every spirit of influence, deception, and corruption to leave him now in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask that You fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may be empowered to walk in righteousness and honor his marriage covenant as You have designed. Restore the joy of Your salvation in his heart, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray for wisdom and discernment for both him and his wife, that they may recognize and resist any future ungodly influences.
Lord, we also pray for this friend, that their eyes may be opened to the truth of Your Word and that they may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Let Your light shine into their darkness, and may they turn from their ways to follow You.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your promises and declare that this husband is set free from every ungodly soul tie. We seal this prayer in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you both to stand firm in faith and to surround yourselves with godly counsel and fellowship. Proverbs 13:20 reminds us, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Seek out believers who will uplift and encourage you both in your walk with Christ. Continue to pray together and study God’s Word, allowing it to be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105).
Remember, the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil. Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11-12). Stay vigilant and committed to living a life that honors God and your marriage covenant. May the Lord bless you both abundantly as you seek His will and His ways.
