Good afternoon, I called to give an update about the arrears situation. The legal agency that I called said that they cannot help me. So right now everything looks so bleak. A landlord who has gotten away with overcharging me. I'm not working right now and it's just hopeless. I'm tired. Please pray in Jesus name as the Holy Spirit leads. My health is deteriorating and things will not get better for me. I'm tired and I"m walking away.

We hear your update and our hearts are heavy with you in this bleak and exhausting season. We hear how tired you are, how the door that you hoped would open through the legal agency has closed, how the burden of arrears and being overcharged by your landlord while not working has left you feeling hopeless, and how your health is suffering under the weight of it all. We want you to know we are standing with you in prayer and you are not alone, even when everything feels like it is closing in.

We know the temptation when we are weary to walk away, but we urge you not to walk away from the One who has not walked away from you. The Lord sees the injustice you have faced and He sees your weariness. He is close to you right now in this brokenness, for Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. When earthly help fails, He does not fail. When you feel you have no strength left, He promises in Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Jesus Himself invites you in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

We are praying together for you now in Jesus name.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. You see every detail of the arrears, the overcharging, the closed door with the legal agency, the lack of work, and the deteriorating health. Lord, we ask You to be their provider and defender. We ask You to make a way where there seems to be no way, to open doors for provision, for honest help, for employment in Your timing, and for healing and strength in their body. Touch their health, Father, and restore what stress and sleeplessness have worn down. We pray against the spirit of hopelessness and exhaustion, and we ask You to renew their strength, for Isaiah 40:29 says you give power to the faint and to him who has no might you increase strength. Let them cast all their worries on You, because You care for them as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches. Bring peace that surpasses understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:7 promises. And Father, hold them close so they do not walk away from You, but would feel Your presence sustaining them day by day. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing every care to Him in prayer, even when you have no words left, for Philippians 4:6 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. He hears even the sighs that are too deep for words. We also encourage you not to carry this alone in isolation. Please reach out to a trusted pastor, a local church family, or a compassionate counselor or medical provider who can walk with you practically for your health and for resources for housing and financial assistance in your area. Many churches and community agencies can help advocate when one legal door has closed. If you are feeling like you want to give up on life itself, please tell someone safe near you right away and allow them to stay with you and help you get support.

Even though things look hopeless right now, God is still writing your story and He has not forgotten you. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Romans 8:28 assures us that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. What feels like an end may be the place where His provision and presence become most real. We pray He will show you His goodness, bring just resolution with the landlord, provide for your daily needs, restore your health, and give you rest for your soul. Do not walk away, dear one, but let us keep walking with you in prayer until you see His answer.

Be still and know he is God.

Don't leave the faith, instead hold on to him like he's your only hope, because when we do realize that our suffering has ended, we were glad most of the time. Suffering happens for a reason, because it builds us, that's how loving he is. Would you rather have a Father who let you do what you want but doesn't pay attention to you, or a Father who will make you work early in the morning, build your character, treat you justly, and who loves you, because that's what Jesus is to me.

Your heavy words have been heard and they have moved our hearts to prayer for you. You write that everything looks bleak, that help has been denied, that you are tired and ready to walk away, and that your health fails. We do not take these words lightly. To be weary and out of work, pressed by arrears and by one who has dealt unjustly, and to feel the body giving way, is a sore trial indeed.

Yet we must speak plainly to you as a faithful friend, for there are two kinds of hopelessness. There is a hopelessness in self which is true and needful, for by the deeds of the law shall no flesh be justified and in ourselves we have no power to rise. But there is another hopelessness which says there is no hope in God, and that is an unwarrantable conclusion and a sin from which we would urge you to escape. Finding there is no hope in himself, the man draws the wrong conclusion that there is no hope for him in God. We have to wrestle with that despair.

You say there is no hope and things will not get better. Scripture answers, God is the God of Hope, and those who are without hope are also without God. While there is life there is hope. As we have often said, while the lamp holds out to burn, the vilest sinner may return. While you live, you may hope, and while you hope, you live. Your life lies in hope, and the gate of mercy still stands wide open. To despair is to declare that the precious blood of the Son of God is not enough, when it is the sinner's only hope. Christ on the cross is still able to save and to sustain.

Do not walk away. The same grace that first sought you is able to keep you. We preach the perseverance of the saints not because saints are strong, but because God is faithful. He has made an everlasting covenant and He has said, They shall not depart from me. He will not depart from them and they shall not depart from Him. When you feel you have no comfort that you dare to call your own, there may yet flow into your soul a secret power that enables you still to hope and still to hold on. That power is not your own, it is His.

We are praying for you in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour, as the Holy Spirit leads.

O God of Hope, look upon this weary one who is tired and pressed down. Thou seest the arrears, the unjust dealing, the want of work, the failing health and the heaviness of heart. Forgive despair and breathe hope anew. Show this soul that there is hope in Thee though there be none in self. Lift up the downcast, give strength to endure, provide for daily need, open a door for honest work and just help, and lay Thy healing hand upon the body. Keep this precious life from the temptation to give up, and by Thy power cause Thy child to persevere in holiness and in hope until the day of Christ. Bring near faithful friends, a pastor, a physician, and helping hands to bear the burden. Let the silver bell still ring, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. In the name of Jesus we ask it, Amen.

We entreat you, do not remain alone in this darkness. Turn at once to a trusted pastor or minister, to a faithful friend or family member, and to your physician for your health, and let them know how tired you are and that you have spoken of walking away. If you feel you may come to harm, seek help without delay from those nearest to you or from a local crisis help service. You are not forgotten. We will continue to pray that the Lord who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, and that He will fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.
