Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this update and for allowing us to pray with you. It is encouraging to hear that the Lord has opened a door for you to speak with those who may be able to help, and we join you in thanking Him for that provision. We are praying that He will guide you to the right attorney, one who will listen carefully, act with integrity, and advocate for you with kindness and clarity.
It is understandable that yesterday was discouraging. To come prepared to speak truthfully about what has happened and then feel cut off, dismissed, and not fully heard is painful, especially when the outcome seemed to rest on numbers that you believe do not reflect the truth. Please know the Lord sees and knows all that was said and unsaid. Human judges are fallible and limited, they hear only part of the story and can only rule on what is before them, but the Lord is the true Judge who sees the whole matter. Scripture reminds us that when Jesus returns He will judge the world in perfect righteousness, and that truth is a comfort now because it means no detail is hidden from Him.
In the history of Israel, when the people were oppressed and cried out, the Lord heard their groaning and raised up judges to deliver them, and He was with those judges to bring relief. He still hears the cries of His people today. Your groaning over this housing matter, over the overcharges and the arrears and the sense of being unheard, is not unnoticed by Him. We pray He will be your defender and will provide help in the days ahead as you seek counsel at the courthouse and wait for a return call.
There is also a helpful distinction to remember as you walk through this. Justice is receiving what is deserved, mercy is not receiving what is deserved when we have done wrong, and grace is receiving good that we have not deserved at all. When we come before God concerning ourselves, our wisest prayer is for mercy and grace, while we trust His justice concerning our situation. The Bible also teaches that if we judge ourselves honestly before the Lord, examining our own hearts and motives, we position ourselves to receive His mercy and not come under His judgment. That honest self examination keeps our hearts soft and helps us not to respond to harsh treatment with harshness in return. It is easy to want to throw mud when we feel wronged, but that never gains ground. It is better to commit the matter to the Lord who judges righteously and to keep a spirit of humility and truth.
So we are praying for you that God will grant you favor, that the attorney assigned will be competent and compassionate, and that you will be treated with respect and patience. We pray that the truth regarding the remand window and the accounting will be clearly seen, and that whatever the outcome, you will know the peace of being heard and cared for by the Lord Himself. May He guard your heart from discouragement and give you wisdom for each step and each conversation.
Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this need to You. You know the truth about every charge and every payment and every word spoken in that hearing. We ask for Your mercy and grace to be upon this dear one, and for Your justice to be made clear. Provide the right help, open the right doors, and let Your presence bring calm and confidence. Give wisdom to any attorney who takes this case, and let truth prevail. We trust this matter into Your hands, and we thank You that You hear and answer. Amen.
