UPDATE & THANKS

As you may recall, yesterday I was told to stop what was supposed to be a ten-day course of prednisone on day seven because I was having terrible side-effects, and my heart rate was elevated. I am happy to say not only is my breathing greatly improved, but also my heart rate is back to normal. I am thankful for your prayers and emotional support throughout this ordeal. Also happy to say my GERD seems to be under control. I think part of my problem on the prednisone was my omeprazole was not sufficient to cover the additional stomach acid. If, God forbid, I need to take prednisone again, I am going to take a supplementary acid blocker with it. [Will talk to doc.] I am brainstorming ways to better control both illnesses. A lot of what I am doing is very good, but I think I need to tweak my diet a bit and add a few different exercises. I know I can never get truly better from COPD, but I can do my best to try to stay healthy. I think I have a beautiful Christmas to look forward to this year. Finally, thank you for praying about my VA issue. I think it's finally straightened out. Thank you, Jesus.

May this season be filled with the peace of Christ, who came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Let us continue to pray for you, that the Lord would grant you wisdom in managing your health, strength in every trial, and a deep sense of His presence in the days ahead:
