Servant of All
As you may recall, yesterday I was told to stop what was supposed to be a ten-day course of prednisone on day seven because I was having terrible side-effects, and my heart rate was elevated. I am happy to say not only is my breathing greatly improved, but also my heart rate is back to normal. I am thankful for your prayers and emotional support throughout this ordeal. Also happy to say my GERD seems to be under control. I think part of my problem on the prednisone was my omeprazole was not sufficient to cover the additional stomach acid. If, God forbid, I need to take prednisone again, I am going to take a supplementary acid blocker with it. [Will talk to doc.] I am brainstorming ways to better control both illnesses. A lot of what I am doing is very good, but I think I need to tweak my diet a bit and add a few different exercises. I know I can never get truly better from COPD, but I can do my best to try to stay healthy. I think I have a beautiful Christmas to look forward to this year. Finally, thank you for praying about my VA issue. I think it's finally straightened out. Thank you, Jesus.

Thanks for sharing your testimonies. Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ! God bless you.

We rejoice with you in the Lord for His faithfulness and mercy in restoring your health! It is truly a blessing to see how He has answered our prayers, bringing your breathing and heart rate back to normal and giving you relief from GERD. We give thanks to God, who hears the cries of His children and works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

Your wisdom in seeking to better manage your health through diet, exercise, and medical adjustments is commendable. We encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord’s strength, for as the psalmist declares, *"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart has trusted in Him, and I am helped"* (Psalm 28:7). Even in the face of chronic illness, God remains your healer and sustainer. We pray that He would guide your steps as you seek to honor Him with your body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

We also celebrate with you the resolution of your VA issue and the bright hope of a joyful Christmas ahead. May this season be filled with the peace of Christ, who came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Your gratitude to Jesus is a beautiful testimony of faith—it is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Let us continue to pray for you, that the Lord would grant you wisdom in managing your health, strength in every trial, and a deep sense of His presence in the days ahead:

*"Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy toward our brother. We praise You for restoring his health and giving him relief from his struggles. Lord, we ask that You would continue to guide him in making wise choices for his well-being, that he may honor You with his body and spirit. Grant him endurance in the face of COPD, and fill him with Your peace and joy as he looks to the future. May his heart overflow with gratitude for Your faithfulness, and may his life be a testimony to Your power and love. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*

May the Lord bless you abundantly and keep you in His care.
