Update: Someone I care for Deeply

Disciple of Prayer
I want to start by truly thanking everyone for your continued prayers. It means more to me than I can fully put into words. I am so grateful, and I feel the presence of God and His love through each and every prayer that has been lifted up.

I continue to pray deeply for him. God knows my heart, and Jesus knows the love I carry for him—the depth of it, the sincerity of it, and how much he truly means to me. I care for him so deeply, and I hold onto the belief that God placed this love in my heart for a reason. I pray that he can feel that in some way, that God reveals my heart to him in His perfect timing. I pray that if it is God’s will, we are gently guided toward one another, brought together in a way that is natural, real, and led by God’s hand. I believe in the life we could build together—a life filled with love, marriage, family, and happiness—and I place that hope in God and trust in Jesus to lead us where we are meant to be.

I also ask for continued prayers over his life. His life is so full, so demanding, and often overwhelming. I pray that God places His peace over him, calming any anxiety and quieting his mind when everything feels too heavy. I pray that Jesus walks beside him in every moment, especially in the busiest and most exhausting times. He gives so much of himself to others, and I know his heart is one that truly cares. What he does is meaningful and important, and I know God has called him to this path, but I also pray that God grants him rest.

I pray that God makes space in his life for stillness, for breath, for moments where he can simply be at peace. That the constant demands lessen, even just enough for him to feel relief. That God restores him not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. That Jesus comforts him in the quiet moments and strengthens him when he feels worn down.

He travels so much, and I pray that wherever he goes, God’s presence surrounds him, protects him, and gives him peace. That he never feels alone, and that Jesus is always walking with him, guiding him, and covering him in grace.

I love him deeply, and I want nothing more than what is best for him, whatever that may be in God’s plan. I continue to trust in God’s timing and in Jesus’ guidance, believing that everything will unfold the way it is meant to. I pray that God’s will is done in both of our lives, and that if we are meant to be together, He will make a way.

Thank you again for your prayers. I am so grateful, and I continue to place everything in God’s hands, trusting in His love, His grace, and His perfect plan.

We hear the deep longing of your heart and the sincere love you carry for this man, and we join you in lifting this situation before the Lord. Your trust in God’s timing and your willingness to surrender your desires to His will are beautiful reflections of a heart seeking to honor Him. We are reminded of Psalm 37:4-5, which says, "Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." Your posture of delighting in the Lord and committing your way to Him is exactly where He meets us with His faithfulness.

However, we must gently address a concern in your request. While your love for this man is evident, we must encourage you to examine whether this relationship aligns with biblical principles. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and it is designed to reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this man is not your husband, we must caution against allowing your heart to become entangled in a way that could lead to emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage. The apostle Paul warns in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." While your intentions are pure, the enemy often uses deep emotional connections to lead us into temptation. We urge you to guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23) and ensure that your relationship with this man, if it is to continue, is pursued with the godly intention of marriage and under the guidance of biblical accountability.

We also want to address the importance of ensuring that this man is a believer in Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If he does not share your faith in Christ, we must pray that the Lord would either draw him to salvation or redirect your heart toward a spouse who will partner with you in your walk with the Lord. Marriage is a union that should strengthen your faith, not pull you away from it.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your love and faithfulness. We lift up this sister to You, Lord, and ask that You continue to draw her close to Your heart. We pray for the man she loves, that You would surround him with Your peace and presence, especially in the midst of his busy and demanding life. Lord, we ask that You grant him rest—physically, mentally, and emotionally—and that he would feel Your comfort in every moment. Protect him as he travels, and let him never feel alone, for we know You are always with him.

Father, we ask that You guide both of their hearts according to Your will. If it is Your plan for them to be together, we pray that You would make a way for them to come together in a manner that honors You, with purity, accountability, and a shared commitment to Christ. If this is not Your plan, we ask that You redirect their hearts and grant them the strength to trust in Your perfect timing and purpose. Help them to guard their hearts and remain steadfast in their faith, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness.

Lord, we also pray for this man’s salvation if he does not yet know You. Soften his heart, open his eyes to Your truth, and draw him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. May he come to know the depth of Your love and the peace that only You can provide.

We trust in Your sovereignty, Lord, and we surrender this situation into Your hands. May Your will be done in both of their lives, and may they find their ultimate fulfillment in You alone. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season, not only for the desires of your heart but also for His will to be made clear. Spend time in His Word, surround yourself with godly counsel, and remain open to His leading. If this man is meant to be your husband, the Lord will confirm it in ways that leave no doubt. Until then, keep your heart anchored in Christ, and let His love be the foundation of all your hopes and dreams.

We're right there with you, praying deeply for him. We're so grateful for the outpouring of love and support from everyone. It truly means the world to us.

We want to share a verse that's been on our hearts: "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22) We believe that God is holding him close, and He's using each of us to be a source of comfort and strength.

We're also praying for wisdom and discernment. We believe that God has a purpose in all things, and we trust that He's guiding both of your hearts according to His will. We ask that He would make His plan clear, and that He would give you the strength to follow it, even if it's not what we expect or hope for.

And we're praying for his salvation, if he doesn't already know Jesus. We ask that God would draw him to Himself, that he would come to know the depth of God's love, and the peace that only Jesus can provide.

We're here for you, praying and believing for the best. Let's keep lifting him up together, trusting in God's love and care for both of you.
