Thank you for sharing this encouraging update. We rejoice with you that she is eating better and that she is improving little by little. Each small step forward is evidence of God's gracious work, and we thank Him with you for what He is already doing.
We understand the desire for the progress to move more quickly. When someone we love is suffering, we naturally want complete healing right away. Yet one of the deepest lessons of faith is learning to wait upon the Lord with patient hope. We are often in a hurry, but God is not hurried as He carries out His purposes. At times we are tempted to step in and try to hurry Him along, but that so often creates more problems. It is far better to wait on His time, trusting with confidence that He will work.
Scripture gives us many exhortations to this kind of patience. We are told that we have need of patience, so that after we have done the will of God we might receive the promise. Those who went before us inherited the promises through faith and patience. James urges us to be patient as a farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting for the full harvest to be ready. God Himself is called the God of patience and comfort. He is so patient in working out His eternal purposes, and He is not slow concerning His promises as some count slowness. He is faithful, He will not say something and then turn back from it, and He will keep His word.
The Bible was given to us to reveal who God is, so that through patience and the comfort of the Scriptures we might have hope. True hope cannot be separated from God. When we remember that He is on the throne and ruling over our lives, we can find steadiness even while we wait. Hold fast to His promises and let them be the anchor for your soul. Flee to them for refuge, believe them, and then wait patiently for Him to fulfill them in His perfect way and time.
We are joining you in prayer, asking the Lord to continue His healing work in her, to strengthen her body, to restore her appetite more and more, and to bring her to full health according to His will. We are also asking Him to give you patient hope, peace, and comfort as you wait on Him, and to sustain you day by day with the assurance that He is with you and He is faithful.
We will continue to pray with you and for you.
