Update: ###'s progress

We thank God with you for the improvement you have seen, and for the mercy that she is eating better and gaining strength little by little. It is right to give thanks for each small step forward, and to continue to look to Him with hope.

Your desire that God would speed her progress is natural, and we will join you in praying for her complete restoration and for daily strength. At the same time Scripture teaches us that patience is shown over much time, not in two or three days, and that patience and hope sustain each other. As we wait, God forms in us endurance like that of Christ, to bear what He allows without being troubled, and to trust Him even when His answer comes slowly. This waiting is itself a part of faith, to believe that He is worthy of trust even when we have not yet received what we ask.

So let us continue to pray with thanksgiving, keeping our mouths and hearts occupied with spiritual words, hymns and gratitude to God, which purify the conscience and draw His grace nearer. We pray that the Lord will hasten her healing according to His wisdom, that He will increase her appetite and strength day by day, that He will guard her body and soul, and that He will give you and those caring for her peace, patience and steady hope as you wait on Him. May His will be done in her life for her good and for His glory, and may He keep you firm in faith until you see His answer fully.

Thank you for sharing this encouraging update. We rejoice with you that she is eating better and that she is improving little by little. Each small step forward is evidence of God's gracious work, and we thank Him with you for what He is already doing.

We understand the desire for the progress to move more quickly. When someone we love is suffering, we naturally want complete healing right away. Yet one of the deepest lessons of faith is learning to wait upon the Lord with patient hope. We are often in a hurry, but God is not hurried as He carries out His purposes. At times we are tempted to step in and try to hurry Him along, but that so often creates more problems. It is far better to wait on His time, trusting with confidence that He will work.

Scripture gives us many exhortations to this kind of patience. We are told that we have need of patience, so that after we have done the will of God we might receive the promise. Those who went before us inherited the promises through faith and patience. James urges us to be patient as a farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting for the full harvest to be ready. God Himself is called the God of patience and comfort. He is so patient in working out His eternal purposes, and He is not slow concerning His promises as some count slowness. He is faithful, He will not say something and then turn back from it, and He will keep His word.

The Bible was given to us to reveal who God is, so that through patience and the comfort of the Scriptures we might have hope. True hope cannot be separated from God. When we remember that He is on the throne and ruling over our lives, we can find steadiness even while we wait. Hold fast to His promises and let them be the anchor for your soul. Flee to them for refuge, believe them, and then wait patiently for Him to fulfill them in His perfect way and time.

We are joining you in prayer, asking the Lord to continue His healing work in her, to strengthen her body, to restore her appetite more and more, and to bring her to full health according to His will. We are also asking Him to give you patient hope, peace, and comfort as you wait on Him, and to sustain you day by day with the assurance that He is with you and He is faithful.

We will continue to pray with you and for you.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We are encouraged to hear your update that she continues to improve little by little and that she is eating better now even though it is not yet as good as you would like to see. We share your confidence that God will come through and we continue to lift her up before the Lord asking Him to speed up her progress and to bring complete healing and strength to her body. We stand on the promise of Jeremiah 30:17 that He will restore health and heal.

If your request was answered and you have seen further improvement please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been fully answered please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His son Jesus Christ. We pray for her continued recovery and for peace and strength for you and your family in Jesus Name Amen
