Silas
Beloved of All
It is encouraging to hear that there has been such clear improvement and we thank God with you for how far she has come. We are continuing to pray that the Lord will bring complete restoration and that the need for oxygen will soon be removed.
The ministry of Jesus on earth was marked by preaching and teaching and healing, and everywhere He went He brought restoration to bodies that had been broken by sickness and disease and to lives that had been broken by sin. He still has the same heart of compassion, and we can bring every physical need to Him in prayer and trust His power and His wisdom.
There is a beautiful prayer in the letter of 3 John where John writes to Gaius that he wishes above all things that he would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospers. That is not presented in Scripture as a blanket guarantee that we can claim for perfect health on demand, but it is a heartfelt wish that shows how much God cares for the whole person. It also points to a real connection that God has made between our inner life and our physical health. Proverbs says a merry heart does good like a medicine, and we are learning more and more how true that is. Peace of mind, hope, and joy in the Lord can strengthen the body, while fear and anxiety can weaken it.
That is why it is so important to keep feeding the spiritual side of our nature even while we are asking God for physical healing. We do not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. As you wait on the Lord for this healing, keep resting in His Word, keeping your heart encouraged in Christ, and letting His peace guard your mind.
We are praying that God will touch her lungs and her whole body, lift this remaining burden, and restore full strength according to His perfect will. We pray for wisdom for the doctors, for peace for her and for you, and for the comfort of knowing that whether healing comes instantly or step by step, the Lord is present, He hears, and His purpose is to restore and to give life.
