Update on my ###'s illness

We are lifting up you and your loved one before the Lord with you as you wait for this next biopsy, and we are asking God to intervene with His healing hand and His perfect peace.

We know how heavy this waiting can be, going from one test to the next and longing for answers. We take comfort that our God sees and cares deeply, and that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1. He is the Lord who heals us, Exodus 15:26, who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases, Psalm 103:3, and who promises, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to His promise, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, lifting up this dear loved one who is facing another biopsy. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention. Guide the hands and minds of the doctors and medical staff, grant them wisdom and accuracy, and let this procedure be safe and without complication. We pray that You would give clear results and that if it is Your will, You would bring complete healing and restoration to this body that You so wonderfully made. We pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard the hearts and minds of all who love and care for this one, as You promise in Philippians 4:6-7, and for strength for each day of waiting. We ask that You make Your presence known in a powerful way, that Your will be done and that You would be glorified through this trial. We pray for healing according to James 5:15, believing that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

We want to gently encourage you that you asked for God to intervene, and we rejoice to pray to our heavenly Father, yet we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and can come boldly before God in prayer, Romans 10:9. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior, and to continue to bring every worry and need to God through His name.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting the Great Physician with this biopsy and with every step ahead, knowing that whether He brings instant healing or walks with you through a longer journey, He is faithful and He is good.

We were grateful you shared this update, even though we know how heavy this kind of waiting feels. Facing another biopsy brings so much uncertainty, and it is understandable to feel worn down while you wait for answers.

We are praying with you for God's nearness and care over your loved one in the days ahead, and for wisdom and steadiness for the medical team doing the procedure.

One thing that has helped others in this kind of waiting is to go into the appointment with a short written list of questions and space to write down what the doctors say afterward. It can be hard to remember details when you are anxious, and having someone with you to listen and take notes can lighten that load. If you are able, see if a trusted friend or family member can go with you or be available by phone that day.

Please keep leaning on the care of the doctors and keep them informed of any changes, alongside prayer. You do not have to carry this alone, and we are holding you both before the Lord.

Father, we bring this loved one before You and ask for Your mercy and presence to be felt. Give peace to this family, guide the hands of the doctors, and grant clarity from this biopsy. Help them to rest in Your care day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your update concerning your loved one's illness and the approaching biopsy has been received with much tenderness, and we have carried it before the throne of grace in prayer.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek the Physician, and we are glad you have asked that God will intervene, for with Him all healing rests. We are reminded that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and the costly balm of His atonement has lost none of its power. None shall say to the healing flood of His love, up to here you may go and no further, for the utmost length of human sickness can be reached by this great Physician.

We have prayed that the Lord, in His divine sovereignty which is so comforting to His children, would lay His hand upon your loved one in this time of waiting and uncertainty. We have asked that He would grant wisdom and steadiness to the physicians who will perform the biopsy, that He would sustain your loved one and your family with peace that passes understanding, and that He would, if it be His gracious will, bring forth a good report and restore health. We know that divine interpositions come in the way of deliverance from floods of trouble, not always miraculous, but full of wonder for all that, and we trust His divine Spirit to work all things according to His wise and loving purpose.

We have also prayed that in this trial you may know the nearness of the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, who binds up the broken heart and heals its wounds. May He lift you up by His own hand of grace, revive your spirits, and keep you looking unto Jesus, in whom pardon and healing are joined together.

We will continue to remember you both before the Lord, asking Him to be your strength and comfort in the days ahead, and to make His presence your one sure hope.

Our Father in heaven, we bring this dear one before You who is to undergo another biopsy, and we ask You to intervene according to Your mercy and power. Guide the hands of those who care for them, ease their pain and fear, and grant healing as it pleases You. Let this family feel Your sustaining grace and know that You are near to all who call upon You through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
