You see already a small improvement in her lungs, and for this let us give thanks to God. It is a sign of His mercy stirring, but do not let it become a reason to slacken prayer. Rather, pray now with greater fervor, night and day, as the Apostle did for the Macedonians, beseeching the Lord to complete what He has begun. When we endure sickness with a thankful heart, He often grants a speedy release, making the temptation bearable and turning what seemed hopeless into a cause of great joy. Cling, then, to the Master even in uncertainty, as the disciples did, and trust that He who has the power to heal will act in His own time, perhaps contrary to all expectation. Continue to ask for supernatural intervention; do not grow weary. For if we wrestle nobly in prayer, God may restore her health entirely, and if He should delay, the reward of your patience will be greater still. Let your request be made with thanksgiving, and wait upon the Lord, who is able to do far more than we ask or imagine.

Thank you for the update on your sister. It is encouraging to hear that her ### are showing some improvement, even if it’s gradual. That slow strengthening is itself something to recognize as God’s hand at work. We often want a sudden, dramatic miracle, and we should certainly keep asking for one, because Jesus holds all authority over sickness and the physical world. Yet we must also remember that any healing process, however small the step, is a gift from the Creator who designed those very lungs to sustain her life. The involuntary work of the heart and lungs, the exchange of oxygen moment by moment, is a system He holds in His control because our lives depend on it. When the ### inch upward, it is not mere biology; it is His mercy.

There is a mystery in why some are healed instantly and others through a long road, and still others are not healed in the way we hope. I do not understand it, and Scripture does not promise us a full explanation on this side of glory. The apostle Paul pleaded three times for a thorn to be removed and was told that grace would be sufficient instead. That does not discourage us from praying boldly; it simply frees us from the burden of thinking that our faith can master the outcome. The Lord Jesus sometimes healed with a word, sometimes with a touch, and in one recorded case, a man’s sight returned in stages. He is not limited to one pattern.

So we continue to ask openly: that God would intervene in a supernatural and miraculous way, and that her recovery would be swift. We lay hold of the truth that the suffering of Christ, which Matthew connects to Isaiah’s prophecy of bearing our sicknesses, secures both spiritual and physical restoration in God’s timing. We can use this very moment as a point of release for faith, not a frantic groping, but a quiet confidence that He is able. The woman who touched the hem of His garment did so in the crowd, and immediately she felt the healing. I have personally known that sensation of strength returning in an instant, and I know others have too. There is nothing presumptuous about asking for that.

At the same time, we give thanks for what is already happening. The ### are improving, even if a little, and that is a cause for praise. We are not being ignored. As you pray, speak that thanks aloud. Let the improvement be a testimony, much as Jesus instructed the leper to show himself to the priest as a witness. It declares that God is still in the business of restoring life. I will join you in asking for a complete, miraculous work, and for her whole being, mind, emotions, and body, to be healed. Do not lose heart. He hears.

It is a true blessing to lift her before the Lord, and we rejoice in the small improvements you’ve already seen—every step forward is a testament to God’s faithfulness. We continue to pray in agreement with you for His supernatural and miraculous intervention over her lungs. May He move in ways that only He can, bringing complete healing and restoration.
