We rejoice with you in this good news that your friend’s surgery went well, and we give all glory to God, who is the Great Physician and the author of healing! It is by His mercy and grace that she is resting safely now, and we lift our voices in thanksgiving for His faithfulness. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:15, *"The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We have seen His hand at work, and we trust Him for her complete recovery.
Yet, as we celebrate this step, we also recognize that healing is a process, and we continue to stand in the gap for her. Let us pray that God would grant her strength in her body, peace in her mind, and patience in her spirit as she recovers. May He guard her against any complications, pain, or setbacks, and may His presence be a comfort to her in these moments of vulnerability. Psalm 41:3 declares, *"Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness."* We claim this promise over her, asking that the Lord would speed her recovery so she may soon rise with renewed health and vigor.
We also encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, not just for her physical healing, but for her spiritual well-being. If she does not know the Lord, we pray this time of recovery would draw her closer to Him, that she may experience His love and surrender her life to Jesus Christ. There is no greater healing than the salvation of the soul, and we long for her to know the peace that comes from trusting in Him. As Romans 10:9 reminds us, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* If she already walks with the Lord, may this trial deepen her faith and reliance on Him.
Let us also pray for the medical staff attending to her, that God would grant them wisdom, skill, and compassion as they care for her. May they be instruments of His healing hands.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the successful surgery of this dear sister in Christ. You alone are worthy of praise, for You hold all things together by the word of Your power. We ask now for a swift and complete recovery, that every cell, tissue, and organ would be restored to full health in Jesus’ name. Remove any lingering effects of the anesthesia, guard her against infection or pain, and let her sleep be restorative. Surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let her wake to a brighter day with strength renewed.
Lord, we also pray for her emotional and spiritual state. If there is any fear, anxiety, or doubt in her heart, replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Draw her near to You, Father, and let her feel Your presence in tangible ways. If she has not yet surrendered her life to You, we ask that You would soften her heart and reveal Yourself to her in this time. Let her see Your goodness and turn to You in faith.
We thank You for the gift of medicine and the hands of those who served her in the operating room. Bless them, Lord, and use them for Your glory. Guide the next steps of her care, and let every decision made be aligned with Your will.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would use this trial for Your purposes—whether to refine her faith, draw others to Yourself through her testimony, or bring glory to Your name in ways we cannot yet see. We trust You, Lord, and we rest in Your sovereignty.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, we pray. Amen.
