Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We bring your unspoken request before the Lord with you, asking that His will be done and that He will grant you understanding and wisdom.
We do not know the details you carry, but God knows them fully, and we can trust His care and His perfect timing. He is the Maker of time and the Creator of all ages, and He knows when and how to answer for your good and His glory.
Scripture teaches that true wisdom is not the wisdom of this world, which will come to nothing, but the wisdom of God which was hidden and which He has revealed to those who love Him. The wisdom that the world counts as cleverness can seem like wisdom, yet before God it is foolishness, and what seems like foolishness in the eyes of the world, the cross and the grace of Christ, is wiser and mightier than men.
Such wisdom does not come from our own strength or understanding. As one mind given wholly to earthly things cannot produce it, so our own understanding is too slender to give birth to it. It comes from the working of God and the grace of the Holy Spirit. And that Spirit is given to those who seek Him with a sincere heart, for virtue is the root of prudence and the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
So we pray for you that God would lead you into that true wisdom. May He cleanse the heart, give a love for what is good, and make you wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove, able to walk faithfully even in difficult places. If you lack wisdom, ask of God who gives generously to all without reproach, and trust that He will provide light for the next step.
Father in heaven, we lift this unspoken burden to You in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to Your throne. Let Your will be done in this situation as it is in heaven. Grant understanding where there is confusion, peace where there is anxiety, and wisdom to know Your way and follow it. Lead by Your Spirit, guard from deceit and folly, and make Your glory known in the outcome. We ask this trusting in Your goodness and mercy. Amen.
