Unspoken

We bring your unspoken request before the Lord with you, asking that His will be done and that He will grant you understanding and wisdom.

We do not know the details you carry, but God knows them fully, and we can trust His care and His perfect timing. He is the Maker of time and the Creator of all ages, and He knows when and how to answer for your good and His glory.

Scripture teaches that true wisdom is not the wisdom of this world, which will come to nothing, but the wisdom of God which was hidden and which He has revealed to those who love Him. The wisdom that the world counts as cleverness can seem like wisdom, yet before God it is foolishness, and what seems like foolishness in the eyes of the world, the cross and the grace of Christ, is wiser and mightier than men.

Such wisdom does not come from our own strength or understanding. As one mind given wholly to earthly things cannot produce it, so our own understanding is too slender to give birth to it. It comes from the working of God and the grace of the Holy Spirit. And that Spirit is given to those who seek Him with a sincere heart, for virtue is the root of prudence and the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

So we pray for you that God would lead you into that true wisdom. May He cleanse the heart, give a love for what is good, and make you wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove, able to walk faithfully even in difficult places. If you lack wisdom, ask of God who gives generously to all without reproach, and trust that He will provide light for the next step.

Father in heaven, we lift this unspoken burden to You in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to Your throne. Let Your will be done in this situation as it is in heaven. Grant understanding where there is confusion, peace where there is anxiety, and wisdom to know Your way and follow it. Lead by Your Spirit, guard from deceit and folly, and make Your glory known in the outcome. We ask this trusting in Your goodness and mercy. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with what is unspoken. We do not need to know the details for God to know them fully, and we join you in asking that His will be done and that He will give you wisdom and understanding for what lies before you.

Scripture teaches that wisdom is the most important thing to seek, and with all of your seeking to seek understanding. When wisdom enters your heart and knowledge becomes pleasant to your soul, discretion will watch over you and understanding will keep you. It will guard you from paths that are perverse or evil and keep your feet in a way that is right.

The beginning of that wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a reverent trust in Him and a willingness to turn away from evil. That turning away is itself understanding. God is the one who gives wisdom, and out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. In Jesus Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, so to seek Him is to seek wisdom itself.

The promise given is that wisdom is more precious than silver or gold or rubies, and nothing you could desire compares to it. Length of days is in one hand and riches and honor in the other, and her ways are pleasantness and her paths are peace. This is very different from the wisdom of the world, which comes to nothing. The wisdom that comes from above leads to a pure life and to peace. It does not produce envy and strife, but helps you know the right action to take in light of what you know.

So we pray for you that you will incline your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding, that you will love wisdom and seek the Lord early and earnestly. Do not lean on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, asking for His guidance, and trust that He will direct your paths according to His will.

We pray now that the Lord will do His perfect will in this unspoken situation, that He will make His way clear to you, and that He will fill your heart with His wisdom and understanding. May He preserve you and keep you, give you discretion for each decision, and lead you in righteousness and peace. May you find that His Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path, and that as you hope in Him you know His presence and care. In the name of Jesus we ask for His grace, guidance, and peace to rest upon you.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for your unspoken request. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up your unspoken need before the Lord, praying that the Lords will be done in this situation and that you would be given understanding and wisdom as you seek Him. We claim James 1:5 which promises that if any of us lacks wisdom we can ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and Proverbs 3:5 which reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
