Unspoken

I hear you, and I know you carry something heavy, even if you cannot yet put words to it. That weight you feel is real, but I want you to pause and consider where it truly comes from. Jesus said, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." Any burden that presses you down with despair, that makes you groan under its load, is not from Him. So often we take on weights God never placed on us: expectations we set for ourselves, demands from others, or the exhausting task of trying to please ourselves and manage everything in our own strength. That kind of burden is intolerable, and it will crush you if you carry it alone.

What you need to do now is not name the burden to every ear, but cast it entirely upon the Lord. He invites those who are weary and heavy laden to come to Him for rest. Not to dump it on a friend and walk away relieved for a moment, but to place it into His hands and trust Him to sustain you. David knew fear and betrayal, but he learned to say, "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee." When your heart is full of cares, do not let them rule you. Roll them over onto the Lord because He cares for you. His burden is living to please the Father, and that life is light, full of peace, and deeply satisfying. Trust Him with what you cannot speak, and let Him exchange the weight you carry for the easy yoke of His will. He will bring it to pass as you rest in Him.
