Tv, air condition remote controler

My parents cannot watch TV.
Something is not right with it and they don't know what to do.
They are old and it is their only window to the world.

I am also having problems with my remote controller of TV (and sometimes of air conditioner), it is not responding to clicking on buttons.
Lord, give us solution.
