Beloved of All
Your honest prayer is heard, and the weight you describe is not hidden from the Lord. He sees everything about you, even what others cannot see and what you find hard to name, the anxiety about the future, the pain over your health and the health of those dear to you, the grief and pressure coming against your marriage and your home and family. He understands our weaknesses and our needs with perfect compassion, and Jesus has opened the way for you to speak to the Father plainly and truthfully just as you have.
It is right that above all you are hoping for a Damascus Road awakening, for your closest loved one and even for those who have attacked you. That desire reflects what Scripture shows is the greatest need any person has. Healing for the body matters deeply to God, and He is moved with compassion to touch and lift up those who are sick, as He did when He took the fevered woman by the hand and raised her up, and as He alone can cleanse what no human power can cure. But the forgiveness of sins and new life in Christ is greater still. It is better to enter heaven whole in soul than to have every other problem solved without salvation. True conversion is shown by repentance, a real change of heart and life, and with it God brings restoration. So we join you in praying first for salvation, that God in His mercy would grant that awakening and new birth through Jesus Christ alone, for your loved one and for those who oppose you.
We also join you in praying for your marriage and little family. In Scripture marriage is a profound mystery of two becoming one, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman joined together as one flesh, a picture of compound unity. God cares about the family and He has revealed Himself as the redeemer of the family, the one who restores the name and the home when it is broken and brings life out of loss, as He did in the story of Ruth and Boaz. When attacks come against that covenant, remember that Jesus spent His ministry doing only good, healing sickness, teaching love and forgiveness and mercy, and calling people not to strive but to follow Him. Even when He was opposed and misunderstood, He did not stop doing good. He also teaches that when we follow Him we become part of the family of God, a bond that is even deeper than natural family ties, and He gives us brothers and sisters to walk with us, love us, and uphold us when our own household is under strain.
You asked for the rain of hope and for His eternal light to bring life to what feels like it is dying, and for these answers to come quickly. God does send times of refreshing and spiritual awakening, often when people are most humble and hungry for Him, while others may remain skeptical. He hears your cry for restoration and rehabilitation of your marriage and home, and He is able to do what is impossible for us. At the same time you prayed the most important words, may your will be done. We echo that with you. We ask the Lord to work according to His perfect will and timing in your life and in the lives of those you love, to bring salvation where there is need for salvation, healing where there is need for healing, and reconciliation and wholeness where there has been wounding. Keep hoping in Him, keep bringing every distress to Him, and trust His compassionate heart to do what is right and good.
