¹⁰For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus.” (Revelations Ch.19 v10d, NLT)

True prophecy does not water down God's Word. Christ is not confined to the New Testament nor is the freedom, which comes through Him, license to sin. Authentic prophecy and genuine spiritual understanding bear witness to the completeness of Jesus, emphasizing His life, teachings, redemptive works, and prophetic ministry. Prophecy stresses that worship is reserved for God alone, and that we demonstrate our reverence for Him through obedience. Christ embodies the entirety of the scriptures. Consequently, whenever scripture is conveyed or discussed, whether Old or New Testament, Christ is uplifted.

Sadly, even those who know the Word seek to silence God's messengers by misappropriating scripture. Because Jesus's criticism was usually directed at the chief priests, even identifying them as the "false prophets," it's no surprise that misrepresentation of the text often comes directly from the pulpit. For example, an ongoing sermon aimed at quieting me claims, “Jesus never said a word.” Lie.

⁹That this is a rebellious people, Lying children, Children who will not hear the law of the LORD; ¹⁰Who say to the seers, "Do not see," And to the prophets, "Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits. (Isaiah Ch.30 v9-10, NKJV)

Jesus spoke many words, often directly confronting the church leaders that opposed him. The only time Jesus remained silent was when he was taken before courts. He chose not to answer their judges because He is the ultimate judge. There is no authority above Him. Therefore, shouting from the rooftop, I speak as the Judge commands.

Today's response from the church is nothing new. The men of Jeremiah's hometown, Anathoth, plotted to kill him because they were angered by his prophecies of judgment against Judah. They wanted to "destroy the tree with its fruit," meaning Jeremiah and his message, so that he would be silenced and forgotten. God informed Jeremiah of their plot and promised to punish them by causing their sons and daughters to die by famine and war.

The Word of God must be correctly divided, as not to profane His name or impose harm on His prophets.

As for me, again:
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him. (1 Timothy Ch.1 v12, NLT)

Observation: Though food and water was given, while this city was busy compassing me for baseball games (in March), she forfeited yet another championship opportunity for her universities. That is what I mean when I say "You sold the cow for a glass of milk." Movement doesn't necessarily mean progress; sometimes you're just going in circles.
