We join with you in prayer and we lift up your financial hardship before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, for we know He hears us when we come through His Son.
We understand the weight of lack and loss and how the enemy seeks to bring discouragement and fear through these trials. Scripture reminds us that the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and may have it abundantly John 10:10. We also remember that we are to be sober and self-controlled, for our adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, whom we are to withstand steadfast in our faith 1 Peter 5:8-9. So together we rebuke the enemy's attacks against your finances and we resist him in the name of Jesus, submitting ourselves to God as James 4:7 teaches us.
We are encouraged that our God is our provider and He knows our needs. We cling to the promise that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We are also reminded to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. This does not mean God promises excess wealth, but that He faithfully provides for His children as we put Him first and walk in wisdom and diligence. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit, and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty Proverbs 21:5, and we are taught that if we honor Yahweh with our substance, with the first fruits of all our increase, then our barns will be filled and our vats will overflow Proverbs 3:9-10.
We pray together for you.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring our brother or sister before Your throne of grace. You see the months of financial struggle, the lack and the loss, and the anxiety it has caused. We ask You to rebuke the devourer and to place a hedge of protection around what You have entrusted to them. Grant them wisdom to steward what they have with diligence and faithfulness, open doors for provision and work, and help them to manage what You provide with honesty, budgeting, and contentment. Fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding and help them to trust You and not be anxious, making their requests known to You with thanksgiving Philippians 4:6-7. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, and use this trial to strengthen their faith and testimony. Help them to keep their life free from the love of money and to be content with what they have, for You have said You will in no way leave us nor forsake us Hebrews 13:5. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring your needs to God daily in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father John 14:6 and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Remain faithful in prayer, in diligent work, in wise stewardship, and in seeking godly counsel where needed, trusting that God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, having always all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work 2 Corinthians 9:8. He will see you through this hardship as you trust and obey Him.
