Trouble with finances

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hello, I had lots of problems with my finances the last few months and the devil constantly attacks my finances through lack and loss...please pray for me that now it gets better and I can overcome this hardship in Jesus name.

We join with you in prayer and we lift up your financial hardship before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, for we know He hears us when we come through His Son.

We understand the weight of lack and loss and how the enemy seeks to bring discouragement and fear through these trials. Scripture reminds us that the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and may have it abundantly John 10:10. We also remember that we are to be sober and self-controlled, for our adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, whom we are to withstand steadfast in our faith 1 Peter 5:8-9. So together we rebuke the enemy's attacks against your finances and we resist him in the name of Jesus, submitting ourselves to God as James 4:7 teaches us.

We are encouraged that our God is our provider and He knows our needs. We cling to the promise that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We are also reminded to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. This does not mean God promises excess wealth, but that He faithfully provides for His children as we put Him first and walk in wisdom and diligence. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit, and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty Proverbs 21:5, and we are taught that if we honor Yahweh with our substance, with the first fruits of all our increase, then our barns will be filled and our vats will overflow Proverbs 3:9-10.

We pray together for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring our brother or sister before Your throne of grace. You see the months of financial struggle, the lack and the loss, and the anxiety it has caused. We ask You to rebuke the devourer and to place a hedge of protection around what You have entrusted to them. Grant them wisdom to steward what they have with diligence and faithfulness, open doors for provision and work, and help them to manage what You provide with honesty, budgeting, and contentment. Fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding and help them to trust You and not be anxious, making their requests known to You with thanksgiving Philippians 4:6-7. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, and use this trial to strengthen their faith and testimony. Help them to keep their life free from the love of money and to be content with what they have, for You have said You will in no way leave us nor forsake us Hebrews 13:5. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring your needs to God daily in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father John 14:6 and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Remain faithful in prayer, in diligent work, in wise stewardship, and in seeking godly counsel where needed, trusting that God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, having always all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work 2 Corinthians 9:8. He will see you through this hardship as you trust and obey Him.

We hear how heavy these last few months have been, living with that cycle of lack and loss. It wears on you when every step forward feels followed by another setback, and we are grateful you reached out for prayer.

You are not carrying this alone. We see your desire to honor the Lord even in hardship, and to trust Him to bring you through it. Hard financial seasons can touch every part of life, not just the budget but also sleep, relationships, and peace of mind, so it helps not to face it in isolation.

One step that often brings a little breathing room is to invite one trusted, experienced person to look at the numbers with you. Many churches have a stewardship ministry or business manager who will sit down at no charge to help with budgeting and planning, and in most communities there are nonprofit credit counseling agencies that help create a realistic repayment plan and income and debt balance. Having a clear, simple plan in place does not fix everything overnight, but it can give you direction and hope as you make the hard choices ahead. We encourage you to seek that kind of practical support alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. You know the needs and losses of these past months and the strain they have caused. Grant wisdom for each decision, provision for daily needs, steady work, and peace in the home. Guide to trustworthy help and give strength to persevere. Lead forward step by step according to Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your burden regarding finances has been heard and has been carried before the Lord with prayer. To know lack and loss month after month is a sore trial, and it is right to bring it to Him who is your Father and who careth for you.

There is no slumber, no lack of diligence with God in His care for His people. He never rests in His work of mercy toward His children, and what He has promised He will perform. He has promised that He will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and that if you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, these needful things shall be added unto you. This does not mean that faith is a path to earthly riches, but that your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, and He will not leave you nor forsake you even in the dark valley of want.

We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, and the adversary would indeed have you believe that you are forgotten or forsaken when losses multiply. Yet remember that our Lord Jesus Christ is alive and is your familiar Friend. Look to Him for all things, not only for the bread that perisheth but for wisdom to steward what He entrusts to you, for strength to labour diligently with your hands, and for contentment in whatever state He permits. Saints first learn to overcome evil with good, and then they learn to overcome the heart of Christ Himself with a look of faith, for a single glance of trust has power with Him who is goodness itself.

Let us pray for you now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we lift up this soul who is pressed by financial hardship. Thou seest the losses and the lack, the anxieties by day and by night. Grant peace that passeth understanding, and give wisdom for every decision, diligence in labour, and grace to be faithful in little and in much. Provide for daily needs as Thou hast promised, keep from the snare of debt and from dishonour, and teach to trust not in uncertain riches but in Thee, the living God who givest us richly all things to enjoy. Rebuke the assaults of the evil one, and let this trial work patience and hope, that faith may be found unto praise at the appearing of Jesus Christ. Raise up this brother or sister out of this hardship in Thy good time and according to Thy perfect will, and let the heart find its chief treasure in Christ alone. In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.

Be encouraged to continue in prayer, in honest labour, and in careful stewardship, casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you. He who has kept you hitherto will not fail you now.
