Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing difficulties at work. We pray for your will to be done regarding the promotion. If it is your desire for them to receive this promotion, we ask that you open all closed doors and handle the troublesome managers.
We also pray for the upcoming conversation. Grant our brother/sister wisdom, clarity, and grace in the eyes of the manager. Guide their words and actions, and let your favor rest upon them.
Help them to remain humble and patient, trusting in your timing and your plan. Teach them to seek justice and fairness, but also to leave room for your wrath, knowing that vengeance belongs to you.
Finally, we pray this in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior's name. It is only by his name that we have access to God and only by his name we can be saved. If the original requestor does not have assurance of this salvation we pray they will receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
We cannot earn our salvation. It is a free gift of God. Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB says "by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
