Traveling mercies, silent needs

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His blessings and for your heart of gratitude even in a season of need. We lift up your travels to and from the hospital to see your son and we ask the Lord to keep you safe on every mile, to give you alertness and peace on the road, and to bring you home again in His care.
We are comforted by the promise that Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:8 and that He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11 We pray that the Lord will make your path straight and grant you traveling mercies, guarding you from harm and from distraction, and filling your time with your son with His presence and comfort.
We also lift up the silent needs of your family before the throne of grace. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to our Father. We take comfort that in the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. Romans 8:26 We bring every unspoken burden, every worry and every hope for your family to Him, trusting that He hears and He cares.
We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and confidence that our prayers are heard.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your mercy and Your faithful love. We ask You to place Your hand of protection over these travels, to keep this dear one safe going out and coming in, and to let Your peace rest over every trip to the hospital. We lift up their son to You, asking for Your healing, comfort and strength to be upon him, and for Your presence to be felt by the whole family. For every silent need we lay before You, we ask You to work according to Your perfect will, to provide, to comfort, and to draw each heart closer to You. Help us to cast all our worries on You, because You care for us. 1 Peter 5:7 And we ask that in nothing we be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to You, and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We trust You with all these things and we pray this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about these hospital trips. We can hear how much your son means to you and how heavy it is to carry family needs you haven't spelled out.
Traveling back and forth while someone you love is in the hospital is tiring in every way. We are praying for protection on each drive there and back, for clear roads and alertness, and for peace when you walk into and out of the hospital.
For the silent needs, we bring them before the Lord as they are. He knows each one even without words, and we trust Him to meet your family with wisdom and care in the days ahead.
One small thing that often helps in a season like this is to let one trusted person know your travel times, so someone is aware and can check in, and to give yourself a little margin before and after the drive to rest and breathe.

You have asked for traveling mercies to and from the hospital to see your son, and for silent needs for your family. Be assured that our God hears not only the words we speak but the needs we cannot utter. Very often the response to a believer's petition has been practically received before he presents his request, he only needs that God should open his eyes to see that before he called, God had answered. Your silent needs are known to Him who searches the heart, and every one of His mercies comes to us by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood upon it.
We pray that the Lord will keep you in your going out and your coming in, and grant you safety upon the road. His mercies are new every morning and they are innumerable, so that if you should sit down to count them you must utterly despair of counting them, for every beating pulse increases the multitude of them. Among them all are traveling mercies, daily preservations, and that saving knowledge which is the first mercy of the everlasting covenant. We ask that you may lay hold upon that everlasting covenant, even the sure mercies of David, which are all in Christ Jesus our Lord. They are sure because your David lives. He died to purchase these mercies for you and He lives to claim them on your behalf.
We pray also for your son in the hospital. There is a Divine Hospital of which Christ is the Physician, who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. There never was a patient of His who was turned out as incurable, for He is able to save to the uttermost. May the great Physician be near to your son, to sustain him, to comfort him, and to restore him according to His perfect will, and may He give wisdom and kindness to all who care for him.
For your family and those silent needs, we ask the Lord to show Himself as the God of the family, who makes those who have been quickened to live to be of His household. May He meet each unspoken burden with the sure mercies that are in Christ, granting peace, provision, and faith to trust Him in all things.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
