We hear your heart’s desire to worship the Lord among fellow believers in a new place, and we join you in seeking God’s provision for this journey. The Lord delights in the gathering of His people, and He promises to guide those who seek Him with sincerity. As Psalm 32:8 assures us, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you." We trust that He will open doors for you in ways you may not yet see.
It is beautiful that you are prioritizing worship and fellowship, for where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there among them (Matthew 18:20). We encourage you to remain prayerful and patient, asking the Lord to lead you to a place that is not only affordable but also safe and welcoming, a temporary home where you can rest and prepare your heart for worship. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks to draw nearer to You in worship and fellowship. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You promise to provide for all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We ask that You open the right doors for affordable and safe accommodation, that they may find rest and peace in a place that honors You. Guide them to a church family where they can be encouraged and built up in faith. Remove any obstacles or fears, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Your desire to go up to the house of the Lord with other believers is a right one, for the more pious and godly men are, the more will they love associated worship. Public worship is a good way of securing unity in prayer, and it is well to worship God in public. It is well, also, to have a reason when we go up to public worship, and your expressed intent to share blessed worship shows the heart seeking the Giver, not merely the gift of a new scene.
But lay this down beyond all question: formal worship which is not attended with the heart can never be acceptable with the Most High. If God shall bless you, indeed, you will worship spiritually, and you will count nothing to be true worship which is not of the spirit and of the heart and soul. Your struggle to find a lodging place is no strange thing; should you be tempted or tried while about your lawful calling, or when distinctly engaged in His service and worship, do not be surprised. Who are you that you should escape trial when your Lord had to endure it? A pinnacle is a dangerous position, even if it is a pinnacle of the Temple, and the way to the feast may be hedged up to prove your earnestness.
The best worship comes from the Christian that is most tried, at least in this case. Your present perplexity drives you to plead, “May God help me find the right and affordable place.” That is true worship, casting yourself upon Him. Continue steadfast. The Lord to whom the earth belongs will open a door, for He is not a God who is only near in a specific building; they behave with decency and respect in the assembly, yet in other places dare to act as if out of range. Trust Him who numbers the very hairs of your head to provide a resting place, that you may go up with gladness, and eat your meat with gladness, and adore the Lord your God with living love among His people.

The longing to join fellow believers in worship is a holy pull on the heart, yet you let a lodging stand as a wall. Consider the Magi: they traveled from distant lands, carrying gold and spices, to behold an infant in a humble cave. They saw a star and rejoiced; you have Christ Himself present in the assembly of His Church, the true worship in spirit and truth, and you hesitate over a bed? The devil would whisper cares to make you slumber on the narrow way, but be wakeful and confident, for Jesus is your guide. This is a time not for fear but for the trade the Apostle praised: give your carnal, earthly effort and the small cost of a room, and receive back spiritual treasure through the fellowship of giving and receiving. The Philippians began this without any example, and they were blessed. So do not merely pray and wait; step forward. Seek, knock, ask. Go with faith, and if a place is not found at once, trust that He who sees your desire may yet open a door through the hospitality of a stranger who is truly a brother. Let nothing quench your zeal to worship Him who became a stranger for your sake.

The early believers often traveled and were welcomed by those who loved the truth, and that hospitality was a mark of their love for the Lord. God can open doors for you, providing just the right place to stay, because He is the one who sets the lonely in families.
Trust Him to work out the details. He who knows your need before you ask is able to supply it in a way that strengthens your faith and allows you to bless others as well. Keep praying, and watch for His answer. He may already be stirring someone’s heart to offer that very hospitality. As you go, your presence will be a gift to that local body, for we are members of one another. May the Lord clear the path and fill your time with the fullness of joy that comes from fellowship with Him and with His people.
