We hear your cry and we are standing with you in prayer, asking God to bring His power and kindness into every part of this struggle where you feel trapped by this HIV type disease and the damage in your leg. We understand how heavy it feels when it seems like everything is closing in on you, and we want you to know that God sees you, He cares for you, and He is able to deliver and to heal.

The Word reminds us who God is toward those who suffer. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Isaiah 41:10 says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We cling to these promises with you, believing that God is both willing and able to bring healing to your body and freedom where you feel trapped.

We notice you spoke of God's kindness, and we rejoice that you recognize His kindness, for His kindness leads us to hope. We want to gently share with you that we come to the Father only through Jesus Christ. There is no other way to approach God or to be saved except through Him. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not yet put your trust fully in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today, to call upon His name, confess your need for Him, and receive His forgiveness and new life. It is in His name that we have confidence to pray and to ask for your problem to be solved according to His perfect will.

We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our dear one to You. You see the affliction in the body, this HIV type disease and the damage in the leg, and You see the feeling of being trapped on every side. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and Your healing power to rest upon this body. Touch the immune system, touch the leg, restore what has been damaged, and let Your healing flow. We ask for wisdom for doctors and for effective care, and we pray that You would guide every treatment. We rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that makes this dear one feel trapped, and we ask You to break every chain and to bring freedom, peace, and hope. Let Your kindness be clearly felt today, let Your presence bring comfort and strength, and let Your will be done in solving this problem for Your glory. We ask that You draw this heart closer to Jesus, to know Him as Savior and Healer, and to find rest in His love. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek medical care faithfully while trusting the Lord as your ultimate healer, to stay in His Word daily, and to keep bringing every worry to Him in prayer. You say you are good, and we thank God for the goodness He has placed in you, and we pray He will sustain that goodness and strengthen you day by day. We are praying powerfully with you that God will make a way where there seems to be no way and that His kindness will be evident in your deliverance and healing.

Your cry in this sore affliction has been heard, and we carry your burden to the throne of grace where tender mercy reigns. You speak of being trapped, of a grievous disease like HIV and damage to the leg, and of feeling hemmed in on every side while you desire the kindness of God to rest upon you. The Lord sees you even as the Angel of the Lord saw Hagar by the well in the desert, alone and fleeing, and He puts to you the same home questions, where have you come from and where will you go, for His mercy overtakes the wanderer in the wilderness.

Know this, that all the loving kindness of God is marvelous, and the least mercy from Him is a miracle. Yet there is a false hope in mercy which says, I am good, and therefore God must deliver me, and there is a true hope which confesses, I have sinned and perverted that which was right and it profited me not, and looks alone to mercy through Jesus Christ. Salvation is through Him alone, and apart from His blood there is no peace. Sin is a deeper sickness than any disease of the body, a sickness of the soul which, if left unhealed, brings a man down to the pit. But blessed be His name, there is deliverance from soul sickness even for those who seem to be going down into the pit, for God has provided a ransom in His dear Son.

Take your bodily affliction also in the light of Scripture, the Lord has chastened me sorely but He has not given me over to death. The rod in the Father's hand is not to kill but to cure, and His mercy endures forever. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son, and that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. What you need, and what we plead for on your behalf, is that God who has gone before you with mercy in the past will go before you still, and will not withhold in its season what is truly needed.

We pray now with you, and we ask you to pray with us. O Lord God of tender mercy, show Your marvelous loving kindness. Look upon this afflicted one, trapped and pained in body, and say as in Job, Deliver him from going down to the pit, for Thou hast found a ransom. Forgive sin through the blood of Christ, heal the soul first, and then according to Thy perfect will touch the body and restore the leg. Give repentance where it is needed, faith where there is fear, and contrition that looks wholly to Christ. Let Thy everlasting kindness be felt, for Thou hast said, In a little wrath I hid My face from thee for a moment, but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. Grant that whether Thou art pleased to raise up or to chasten further, this life may yet say, I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, and that all trapping powers of darkness may be broken by Him who alone can save. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we are praying for you in your suffering with this disease and the damage to your leg and in this feeling of being trapped.

We ask God in His great kindness and mercy to be near to you. We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, would lay His healing hand upon your body, ease your pain, restore strength to your leg, and grant wisdom to those who care for you. We pray also that He would lift the weight of fear and the sense of being trapped, and give you peace that guards your heart and mind in Christ.

We do not know all the details of what you face, but God knows and hears. His word calls us not to give up, but to continue with care. This means careful hearing of His word and keeping it continually in mind, with fortitude and trust in Him even when healing seems slow. Like a physician who does not stop treatment while there is still hope, God is patient and works in us over time, and even when fruit is not seen at once, He is still at work.

In times of sickness and poverty, it is hard to give thanks, yet Scripture teaches us to learn thanksgiving even in hardship, not because the hardship is good, but because God remains merciful and present in it. If you are able, give thanks for His daily mercies, for breath, for any help you receive, and for His promise never to forsake those who trust in Him.

We pray for you now: Heavenly Father, have mercy on this Your servant. Look with compassion on this illness and this injury. Grant relief according to Your will, provide for every need, break every trap that surrounds him, and let Your kindness be clearly seen. Draw him closer to Your Son Jesus, strengthen his faith, and fill him with hope for eternal life. Give him comfort, patience, and courage for each day, and lead him to walk in Your ways. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

Your request has been heard and I have brought it before the Lord. You described feeling trapped, facing a serious disease like HIV and damage to your leg, and asking for God to show you His kindness and to bring a powerful answer. I want you to know that God sees you in this place and He hears the cry for mercy.

Scripture teaches that we never come to God on the basis of our own goodness or the things we have done. Justice would be getting what we deserve, but mercy is not getting what we deserve, and grace is getting what we do not deserve. When we come as the man who cried out, Son of David, have mercy on me, we come simply asking for His mercy, and Jesus stops and draws near to those who call on Him that way. That is how you can come now, not because you are good enough, but because He is merciful.

The Lord has promised to be what you need in the moment you need Him. When you need healing, He reveals Himself as the Lord your healer. When you need light in darkness and guidance when you feel trapped and unable to find a way forward, He comes as the sunrise from on high to visit those who sit in darkness and in the shadow, to give light and to guide feet into the way of peace. He has shown strength with His arm, He lifts up those of low degree, and He remembers His mercy toward His people. The prophet also says the Sun of righteousness will arise with healing in His wings, and in the Gospels we see Jesus laying His hands on every one of those who were brought to Him with various diseases and healing them.

Do not seek only healing while missing the Healer Himself. Come to Jesus first to know Him, to receive His forgiveness and His presence, and then bring your body and your circumstances to Him. He wants to be your deliverer, not just to give deliverance, and your healer, not just to give healing.

I have prayed for you, and I am praying now.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring this dear one before Your throne of mercy and grace. You see the feeling of being trapped and surrounded, You see the disease in the body and the damage in the leg, and You know every fear and burden. Lord, be merciful. Show Your tender mercy and let Your kindness be felt in a real way. Touch the body and bring healing according to Your will, lay Your hand upon this life as You did when You healed all who were brought to You. Bring light where there is darkness, open a way where there seems to be no way, and guide these feet into Your peace. Let this one know the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus and walk in the light as You are in the light. Give strength for each day, comfort in the night, and hope for what is ahead. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our healer and our peace. Amen.
