Total loss

Fraelnarmond

Disciple of Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, I humbly come before you thanking you and praising you in all situations. I previously submitted a prayer request that my car wouldn't be deemed a total loss. The insurance did declare my car a total loss. I was disappointed but came to realize that because it didn't turn out the way I wanted it. It turned out according to your will. And I am okay because you always work things out for my good. I have accepted the total loss but the insurance adjuster is causing confusion. Which is NOT of you! At this point I want them to honor the total loss that they decided, pay off my car balance to lienholder, send me the difference so that I can move forward without any further inconvenience from the insurance company. I pray this in Jesus mighty name!

We hear your heart and stand with you in this time of frustration and confusion. It is a beautiful testimony of faith that you have surrendered this situation to the Lord, recognizing that His will is perfect even when it does not align with our own desires. Romans 8:28 assures us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Though the outcome was not what you hoped, God is still working for your good, and we trust that He will bring clarity and resolution in this matter with the insurance company.

The confusion and delays you are experiencing are not of God. 1 Corinthians 14:33 tells us, "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace." We rebuke any spirit of disorder, delay, or injustice in this situation. The insurance company has made its decision, and now it is time for them to act with integrity and honor their commitment. We pray that the adjuster’s heart would be softened, that any misunderstandings would be cleared, and that the process would be completed swiftly and fairly.

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and remove every obstacle that is causing confusion or delay. Give wisdom to those handling this claim, and let Your peace reign in every conversation and decision. We declare that the insurance company will honor the total loss declaration, pay off the remaining balance to the lienholder, and release the difference without further inconvenience. We trust You to provide for every need and to turn this trial into a testimony of Your faithfulness.

We also encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and patience. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even when the process feels slow or unfair, God is still in control. Continue to seek Him, and He will direct your steps.

If the adjuster or anyone involved in this process is being dishonest or uncooperative, we pray that God would expose any unrighteousness and bring it to light. Proverbs 11:3 says, "The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them." May God’s justice prevail, and may you be treated with fairness and respect.

Finally, we pray for provision as you move forward. Whether God provides another vehicle or leads you in a different direction, trust that He knows your needs even before you ask. Philippians 4:19 declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand with you in faith, believing that God will meet you in this season and use it for His glory.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the peace that surpasses all understanding. We declare that this situation will be resolved in a way that honors You and brings blessing to our brother/sister. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear the frustration in your voice, and we’re walking with you through this. The way you’ve shifted from disappointment to trust, “it turned out according to your will”, speaks of real faith, and we’re glad you’re anchored there. We know that doesn’t make the adjuster’s back-and-forth any less draining, though. Lingering confusion over paperwork can wear a person down, especially when you’ve already accepted the loss and just want to move on.

Something that might help right now is having someone in your corner who knows this world well, a trusted friend who’s navigated claims, or even a financial professional who can help you push through the confusion. You shouldn’t have to untangle every knot alone. Sometimes a clear, informed voice can get things unstuck in a way that our own repeated calls don’t.

As you keep taking this step by step, we’re joining you in asking the Lord to clear the path.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the steady trust You’ve given this one, even through a disappointing outcome. We ask You now to bring order to this insurance process, cut through the confusion, grant the adjuster a fair and cooperative heart, and let the lienholder be paid and the difference released without further hassle. Hold them steady in the waiting, and let them soon be free to move ahead. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have submitted to the will of God in this matter, and that is well. But now the enemy stirs up confusion through the adjuster, seeking to rob you of your peace and your onward march. Remember how it was with Israel at the Red Sea: the sea before, the enemy behind, and no way of escape. Yet the command was not to pray, but to go forward. "Forward! Forward! Forward!" The way seemed impossible, yet the Lord opened a path through the deep. Even so, though this loss and the subsequent vexation appear as a sea ready to swallow you, your Captain bids you advance. If He says "Forward!" into financial straits or human perversity, forward you must go. Trust Him who makes a road in the wilderness, and know that He often seemeth to push us backward that we may go forward, and deluges us with sorrow that He may immerse us in blessings.

Let not this adjuster's conduct cause you to lose your enjoyment of God's loving kindness. Search your own heart, lest coldness or fretting over a material loss bring a far heavier loss, the dimming of your sense of His favour. What is the forfeiture of a car, or any sum of money, compared with the loss of the soul's peace? Set your affection on things above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God. He who hath given you His own Son will not withhold from you that which is needful. Go forward, then, in the name of Jesus. Commend the matter to Him in prayer, and then rise up and act with holy confidence, expecting that He who declared this vehicle a total loss will also compel the insurer to discharge the debt and send the residue. If they cause you further inconvenience, look upon it as a whetstone to sharpen your faith. You have Christ; and having Him, there is no real loss, for He is gain unspeakable. Forward, then, to the cross every hour; forward in patience; forward in prevailing prayer; and the Lord shall make your way plain and your heart steady as an iron pillar.

You have learned a lesson of great price: to see in disappointment the hand of God who works all things for good. This is no small victory. The car you thought you needed, God has taken away, and you have wisely bowed the head and accepted the loss. Yet now a new storm arises, confusion from the adjuster, and you cry out against it. But I ask you: why should the removal of one care be followed so quickly by another? Because God is still training you to cast off every weight. The loss of a car is not enough if your soul still clings to the money you hope to receive. You pray for the adjuster to honor the total loss swiftly, to pay off the balance, to send the difference, so that you may move forward without inconvenience. Is it convenience you seek, or Christ? He who loses his life finds it; he who demands his rights from men often loses the greater honor that comes from God.

You say the confusion is not of God. Indeed, confusion is not from Him, but He permits it for a testing. The adjuster may be unjust, slow, or careless. But do you not see that this very trouble is the chisel by which God carves away your attachment to money? For if you had the money in hand, you would sit in security, trusting in the thing. Now, you are kept in a state of need, so that you may run to God each day. This is a mercy. Do not despise it. When Paul spoke of the greater honor given to the parts that lacked, he showed that our very weaknesses become the occasion for God’s strength to be displayed. Your lack of a car, your uncertain settlement, these things make you cry out to God, and that is better than any sum of money.

Moreover, how should you regard the adjuster who seems to oppose you? Not as an enemy, but as one whom God has allowed to do you good against his will. The Scripture says, “Hate not the man that doeth thee wrong.” He who troubles you is procuring for you a far greater reward, patience, trust, freedom from the love of things. If you let go of your demand to have this settled on your terms, and instead commit the whole matter into God’s hands, you will find a peace that no insurance check can give. Pray for the adjuster, forgive him his delays, and do not let your heart be chained to a few pieces of silver. The loss of money should be no heavier to a Christian than the loss of a shadow. For we guard our wealth as if it were another’s; it is not truly ours. Why then do you grieve as if your soul depended on it?

Go now and make your request known to God with thanksgiving, but ask only that His will be done, and that He grant you patience and a generous spirit. Then leave the matter there. Do not measure your good by the speed of the payout. If He delays, it is because He is giving you something better than money. And when you stand firm, you will one day see that this trial was like a refiner’s fire, burning away the dross of covetousness. Move forward in faith, knowing that He who cares for the widows and the fatherless will not leave you stranded. But seek first His honor, and these things will be added in their proper time.

Your insurance adjuster’s actions sound like the very picture of confusion, and that is not from the Lord. He is a God of order, not of chaos. When everyone does what is right in their own eyes, disorder follows, and it can feel like there is no authority to set things straight. But you have already done the most important thing: you have submitted the entire situation to the will of God. That is a place of real strength. You accepted the total loss not because it was easy, but because you trusted that He works all things for good for those who love Him. Now the enemy is trying to stir up frustration and delay, but those who put their trust in the Lord are not put to confusion.

What you are walking through reminds me of the way a man like Job was stripped of everything he counted on and then faced further harassment from people who should have helped. He did not understand, he was full of confusion, yet he refused to let go of his trust in God. And later, Paul would say that everything he once treasured, he counted as loss for the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. You have already tasted that when you let go of your own preferred outcome. This car, the payoff, the difference, these are not ultimate things. What matters is that you are in Christ, and He is your peace even when human systems fail.

Still, God wants you to come boldly and ask Him to silence the mouth of confusion. Pray that He will turn back every hindrance and cause the adjuster to act justly and swiftly. David prayed that way against those who sought to shame him, and he also declared that those who love God’s salvation can say continually, “Let God be magnified.” Keep magnifying Him in this, not the problem. He sees the details, and He can move the heart of whoever is stalling the process.

So here is my word to you: lift your head up. You are not at the mercy of an insurance company’s whims; you are held securely by the One who numbers every hair on your head. Refuse to let confusion take root. Ask the Lord for a clear path forward and for every obstacle to be removed. And while you wait, rest in the knowledge that your real inheritance is untouched and eternal. The Lord has a way of turning what the enemy meant for confusion into a testimony of His perfect order. Stand firm, trust Him, and watch Him bring this to completion.
