We join together in lifting you up, ###, before our Heavenly Father regarding this painful tooth infection and the extraction scheduled for tomorrow. We know how distressing dental pain can be, how it affects sleep and peace, and how anxiety can rise before a procedure, but we take comfort that our God cares about every part of our suffering, even what might seem small to others.
We are reminded in scripture that the Lord is our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 we read, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. He is the One who can guide the hands of the dentist, bring peace to your heart, and bring complete healing to your body. We also cling to Philippians 4:6-7 which tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:13 also assures us, For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can boldly come to God with our needs, trusting not only for physical healing but for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life when we put our faith in Him. We encourage you to call upon His name and trust Him fully.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of ###. We thank You that You see his pain and You know his anxiety about tomorrow. We ask for Your healing touch upon this tooth infection, that You would contain it and not allow it to spread, and that You would prevent any further complications. We pray for wisdom and steady hands for the dentist and all medical staff involved in the extraction, that the procedure would go smoothly, quickly, and with minimal pain or bleeding. We ask for Your peace to guard ###'s heart and mind tonight and tomorrow, casting out all fear. We pray for a swift and complete recovery, for relief from pain, and for restored health. We ask that You would use this time to draw ### closer to You and to reveal Your love and power through Jesus Christ our Lord. We trust this all to Your perfect will and mercy. Amen.

Your request concerning this painful tooth infection and the extraction appointed for tomorrow has been brought before us, and we have carried it to the throne of grace on your behalf.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. It is right and prudent to do so, and we thank God for the skill He has given to the hands of surgeons and dentists to give relief. Yet our Savior would have us not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry, fretfulness and distress about our temporal affairs. Anxiety, as we have often observed, does not comfort anybody, nor does it bring any grist to the mill. Indeed the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Be prudent in all that is needful for tomorrow, but cast your care upon Him who cares for you.
We are reminded that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. When the Lord comes and dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises upon them with healing in His wings. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed upon the Lord's people. As He said to the man taken with palsy, so He says still, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing are one in His hand. He is that great Physician whose balm is found at Calvary, able to heal though He is not always engaged in healing at the same measure, yet faith comes by hearing and by being brought into His presence.
We have prayed for you, ###, that the Lord in His mercy would assuage the pain and inflammation of this infection, that He would guide the hand of the one who shall perform the extraction tomorrow, that it may go well and without complication, and that He would grant you a speedy and complete recovery. We have asked that He would keep you from anxious dread this night, and give you quiet trust in His good providence, and that you may know the healing virtue which His grace infuses, which shall at last perfectly heal both soul and body.
Look to Christ Himself, and lie at His feet hoping and expecting both forgiveness and healing, for Him that comes to Him He will in no wise cast out. May you prove that there is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and may this affliction turn you more fully to love and serve Him who has healed you.
We commend you to that blessed Physician who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. May His hand be upon you tomorrow and His peace keep your heart. Amen.
