Silas
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and I am joining you in prayer for the calming of your soul and for healing in your tongue, mouth and tonsils, that all of this would be for the glory of God.
I understand how heavy this is, especially when symptoms have returned after you thought healing had come, and with the fear that there could be cancer or a tumor. That kind of fear can hold a person in bondage, and Scripture speaks of how Jesus came to deliver those who through fear of death are subject to bondage all their lives. I am praying that the Lord will lift that fear from you and give you His peace in its place, as you put your trust in His Word and walk in dependence on Him, living by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
The ministry of Jesus on earth was marked by preaching, teaching and healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people. He is still the same Lord who has compassion on those who suffer. I am praying for His healing touch upon your tongue, your mouth and your tonsils, and that the examination of your body would show no cancer and no tumor. At the same time I encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care, asking God to guide those who examine and treat you, and to give you clarity.
The Bible teaches that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, and that with the mouth we confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. There is coming a day when every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Your desire that your healing be for His glory is precious, and even now, when your tongue is afflicted and speaking is difficult, God hears you. Scripture says that when a person speaks in an unknown tongue he speaks not to men but to God, speaking mysteries in the Spirit, and that his spirit is praying even when the understanding is limited. That reminds us that God understands the prayers of the heart and the spirit, even when words are hard to form. Praying in this way can build up and edify the person who prays, and it is most fitting in private communion with God, while in the gathering of believers we are to speak words that are easily understood so that all may be built up. Whether your words are clear or labored, the Lord knows the cry of your heart.
So I pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to calm this troubled soul and to quiet fear with Your perfect peace. Lay Your healing hand upon this tongue, mouth and tonsils. Remove disease and infection, and let no cancer or tumor be found. Restore health and strength so that this tongue may again confess Your goodness and speak of Your grace. Help this dear one to rest in Your love, to trust Your Word, and to know that You are near both in healing and in waiting. Let whatever You do be for Your glory and for lasting encouragement and faith. Amen.
Continue to bring your needs to the Lord honestly, as you have done, and keep looking to Jesus. He hears, He cares, and He is able to help.
