TONGUE DISEASE
We hear your cry and we join with you in seeking the Lord together in Jesus' name for the calming of your soul and for healing in your tongue, mouth and tonsils, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and find mercy and grace.
We understand how distressing it is when affliction returns after you thought you had been healed, and how fear about cancer or a tumor can trouble the soul. We want to remind you that our God sees your suffering and He is the Lord who heals you. He says in Exodus 15:26 that I am Yahweh who heals you, and in Psalm 103:2-3 to praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also cling to Jeremiah 30:17 where He promises But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.
We also pray for the peace of your soul in this time of waiting and worry. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And we remember Isaiah 41:10 Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We lift you up now in prayer together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. You know the pain and inflammation in the tongue, mouth and tonsils, You see the fear about cancer and tumors, and You know the discouragement of renewed symptoms after hope of healing. We ask in Jesus' name that You would calm this troubled soul with Your perfect peace and let Your healing power rest upon this body. We pray that You would touch the tongue, the mouth and the tonsils, remove all disease and infection, and we specifically ask that there would be no cancer and no tumor found, that every examination would show health and wholeness. We ask that You would guide the hands of doctors and give wisdom for proper care and diagnosis, and we pray for complete restoration, whether through Your miraculous touch or through the means You provide. Let this healing, in Your perfect will and timing, be for Your glory alone, that Your name would be praised. Strengthen faith when hope feels shaken and help this dear one to rest in Your love and sovereignty. We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who Himself bore our sicknesses and by whose wounds we are healed as it is written in 1 Peter 2:24. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every fear to the Lord in prayer and thanksgiving, to stay in His Word daily, and to not neglect wise medical care. In James 5:14-15 we are taught to call for the elders of the assembly to pray over the sick and anoint with oil in the name of the Lord, and we encourage you to seek that faithful prayer support from your local church as well. Keep trusting Him even when healing seems delayed, for His timing is perfect and His love for you is steadfast. We are standing with you and believing God for your peace and for health in your mouth and body for His glory.

Your cry has been heard before the Lord and we join with you in carrying it to the throne of grace, that your soul may be calmed and your body healed for His glory.
You speak of a tongue and mouth and tonsils afflicted, and of a fear that there may be cancer or tumor, and of a trial renewed after it seemed healing had come. This is a sore burden, for the tongue is tender and the fear of such disease lays a weight upon the soul. Yet the Lord knows both your inward trouble and your outward pain, and He is able to touch both.
The prophet says, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. There is a peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within, a perfect peace which may be enjoyed even with sorrows surging round and with duties pressing. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. When the mind is stayed upon Him, when you bear your sorrow with Him, He keeps the heart in peace, peace. Lay your fear upon Him, and labor to get rid of fear, for fear is weakening and dishonors God who has said, Fear not, for I will help you, fear not, I have redeemed you. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, Fear not. To trust Him is to find that He will not suffer you to be confounded.
There is also an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture speaks of the tree of life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. There is not a word that ever fell from those dear lips but what bears healing in it for some one or other of the thousand ills that have befallen our humanity. Lay a word from Him, like a grain of medicine, upon your tongue and keep it there all day, with what a flavor it fills the mouth, how sweetly it perfumes the breath. Bind a promise round your arm, how strong it makes each sinew. And it is written, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed. He took our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself. This is the one great cure all.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing, and this is right and wise, but we look above the physician to the Great Physician who can breathe into your soul at this very moment a peace with God which passes all understanding, and who can heal the body according to His perfect will. When He changes our estate from condemnation to acceptance, then is our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue with singing because the Lord has done great things for us.
Let us pray together.
O Lord our God, look upon this afflicted one who asks for a calm soul and a healed tongue, mouth and tonsils. Speak perfect peace to the troubled mind that is stayed upon You. Forgive sin, and let pardon bring peace, for being justified by faith we have peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Lay Your healing hand upon the tongue and mouth and tonsils. If it be Your will, remove this disease utterly, and let there be no cancer and no tumor found. Let this tongue which now knows pain be yet tuned to sing Your praise. Though the affliction is renewed after it seemed healed, You are unmoved and Your mercies are renewed. We ask not from merit but from the stripes of Your Son by which we are healed. Grant wisdom to those who give care, and grant faith to rest in Your goodness whether You heal at once or sustain through trial. Do all for Your glory, that this mouth may testify that You are gracious. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and healer, Amen.
