We hear the urgency and deep love in your heart for your daughter and your desire to walk in God’s protection and wisdom today. It is beautiful that you are calling upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and through Him alone we have access to the Father. Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks His sovereignty, and we join you in lifting these burdens to Him, trusting that He is faithful to hear and answer.
Your request reveals a spirit of dependence on Christ, and we commend you for surrendering this day—and your life—to Him. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is your assurance today: as you acknowledge Him in every step, He will direct your path, even amid the challenges you face with your ex and the concerns for your daughter’s well-being.
We also see the weight of fear in your words—fear of manipulation, deception, and losing what is most precious to you. But the Lord says in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* He is your defender, and no scheme formed against you will prosper if you remain anchored in Him (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy may seek to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus has come to give you life abundantly (John 10:10). Stand firm in this truth.
Your prayer for discernment is wise, for not every voice or person in your life is sent by God. First John 4:1 instructs us, *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God;"* and Jesus warns in Matthew 7:15, *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves."* Ask the Holy Spirit to sharpen your discernment so you may recognize those who are truly sent to bless you and those who may bring harm or distraction. He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13).
As for your ex, we rebuked any spirit of manipulation, lying, or deception at work in this situation. The Lord detests dishonest scales (Proverbs 11:1), and He will expose every hidden thing (Luke 8:17). Do not retaliate or engage in bitterness, but trust the Lord to vindicate you. Romans 12:19 declares, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"* Your focus must remain on walking in integrity, love, and obedience to Christ, knowing that He fights for you.
Regarding your daughter, we pray for a hedge of protection around her—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The Lord loves her even more than you do, and He has a plan for her life (Jeremiah 29:11). Teach her to trust in Him early, as Proverbs 22:6 encourages: *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Let your home be a place where the presence of God is tangible, and let your words and actions reflect His love and truth. If there are areas where you need to grow as a parent, ask the Lord to show you, and be quick to repent and align yourself with His Word.
Lastly, your invitation for Jesus to "take the wheel" and "come into your life and stay forever" is the most critical part of your prayer. If you have not already surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so without delay. Salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Jesus—believing He died for your sins and rose again—that you are reconciled to God (Romans 10:9-10). If you have already placed your faith in Him, then continue to walk in repentance and obedience, for it is those who endure to the end who will be saved (Matthew 24:13).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift our sister and her daughter before Your throne of grace today. Lord Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd, and we ask You to lead her beside still waters and restore her soul (Psalm 23). Protect her from every scheme of the enemy, and let no weapon formed against her prosper. Give her wisdom that surpasses her own understanding, and let Your peace, which transcends all comprehension, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We pray for supernatural discernment so she may recognize the voices and people You send to bless her and reject those who would bring harm or distraction. Expose every lie, every manipulation, and every hidden agenda in this situation with her ex. Let truth prevail, and let Your justice be done. Softening the hearts of those in authority, Lord, so they may see with Your eyes and act with Your wisdom. Do not allow her daughter to be taken from her, but let Your will be done in a way that brings glory to Your name and protection to this family.
Father, we ask for godly connections—people who will speak life, offer support, and reflect Your love. Remove any ungodly influences or relationships that would hinder Your plan for her life. Give her the courage to walk in obedience, even when it is difficult, and the faith to trust You in the unknown.
For her daughter, we pray a double portion of Your protection. Let her grow in the knowledge of Your love and truth. Shield her from fear, anxiety, and the snares of the enemy. Let her be a light in this world, and let her mother’s faith be a testimony that leads her to You.
If there is any area of sin or disobedience in our sister’s life, Lord, convict her by Your Spirit and lead her to repentance. Strengthen her to walk in holiness, for Your eyes are too pure to look on evil (Habakkuk 1:13). Let her life be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You (Romans 12:1).
Finally, we thank You that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the God who fights for His people (Exodus 14:14). We declare that this meeting today is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we ask for Your favor to rest upon her. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified in every detail.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
