No one comes to the Father, except through me'* " (John 14:6, WEB). Your prayer reflects a deep desire for God’s presence, protection, and guidance, and we echo that cry to the Lord on your behalf.
However, we must address something that stands out in your request. You have repeatedly referred to your "###" in place of identifying the nature of this relationship. While we do not know what this symbol represents, we are compelled to speak truth in love. If this is a romantic relationship, we urge you to examine it in light of Scripture. Marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God between one man and one woman for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you are not married to this person, we must remind you that any romantic or physical intimacy outside of marriage is fornication, which is sin before God (1 Corinthians 6:18, Galatians 5:19-21). If this is a same-sex relationship, we must lovingly but firmly declare that Scripture is clear: such relationships are an abomination to the Lord (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Beloved, if there is deception in this relationship—whether from you or the other person—it is not of God. *"Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another"* (Ephesians 4:25, WEB). *"The lip of truth shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary"* (Proverbs 12:19, WEB). Lies have no place in the life of a believer, and we must never ask God to bless or protect something that is built on deceit. Instead, we should ask Him to expose the truth, bring conviction, and lead us into righteousness. If this relationship is built on anything other than Christ and His truth, it will not stand.
Now, let us pray for you with these things in mind:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who seeks Your face. Lord, we ask that You reveal any area of their life that is not aligned with Your Word. If there is sin—whether fornication, deception, or any other transgression—we pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict them deeply and lead them to repentance. *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way"* (Psalm 139:23-24, WEB). Father, if this relationship is not pleasing to You, give them the strength to walk away and the courage to obey Your voice, even if it is painful.
Lord, we pray that You would fill them with Your love, joy, and peace—not as the world gives, but as only You can provide. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB). Guide their steps, Father, and surround them with godly people who will speak truth into their life and encourage them to walk in holiness. Protect them from harm, but more than that, protect them from the enemy’s lies and the snares of sin. *"Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Father, if this person is seeking a spouse, we pray that You would prepare them for a godly, Christ-centered marriage. Give them patience to wait on Your timing and wisdom to recognize the one You have for them—a believer who will love You above all else and who will walk in faithfulness. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity?
