We join you in fervent prayer for your cousin, asking our Heavenly Father to work in her life and the life of the man He has prepared for her. We pray that both of their hearts will be drawn to Christ, that they will come to know Him personally, and that they will be united in holy matrimony, as marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman designed by God.
We stand on the promise of Matthew 19:4-6 WEB: "He answered, 'Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart.'"
We also pray that they will trust in God's timing and plan for their lives, knowing that His ways are higher than our ways. We rebuke any thoughts of pursuing unbiblical alternatives such as IVF outside of marriage or same-sex relationships, as these are not in accordance with God's design for marriage and family. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB: "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' says Yahweh. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.'"
We are thankful that this request is in Jesus' name, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: " Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Heavenly Father, we ask that You reveal Yourself to your cousin and the man You have chosen for her. Draw them close to You, and guide them in Your truth. Help them to trust in Your perfect plan for their lives, and to wait on Your timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray for your cousin and to trust in God's perfect plan for her life. Be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
