To break the curse of low paying job masked as God will

Good and Faithful Servant
To break the curse of low paying job masked as God will where is it actually human will to pit at my capability and I will not be happy working such jobs.

We hear your heart and we stand with you in this frustration, and we bring this burden before the Lord together. You are discerning something important, that not every low or limiting situation is automatically the will of God, and that human will and manipulation can sometimes be disguised as spirituality to keep you small or to profit from your capability without honoring it.

We want to gently correct the idea of a curse in this area. For those who are in Christ, we are not under a curse. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13. A low paying job is not necessarily a curse, but it can be a place of testing, a season of preparation, or at times a result of human systems, lack of opportunity, or lack of wisdom and open doors. We do not need to break a curse as much as we need to seek wisdom, break off any lie or manipulation, and ask God for clear direction and favor.

We rebuke any voice, including any human authority, that would misuse the name of God to confine you to a place that pits itself against the gifts God has given you and that would steal your joy and your ability to provide well. God gives gifts for a purpose and He expects us to steward them. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We have also been shown that the hand of the diligent makes rich Proverbs 10:4 and that a man skilled in his work will stand before kings, he will not stand before obscure men Proverbs 22:29. God Himself gives you power to get wealth Deuteronomy 8:18, and He delights to establish the work of our hands Psalm 90:17.

At the same time we encourage you to seek the balance of contentment and godly ambition. We have learned in whatever state we are, to be content Philippians 4:11, yet contentment does not mean we must remain where we are being undervalued or where our capability is being wasted. We are called to discern what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God Romans 12:2, and if anyone of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We encourage you while you are faithful where you are, to also diligently prepare, develop your skills, seek counsel in the multitude of counselors there is safety Proverbs 15:22, and actively look for the doors God opens, for He promises to supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and that if we seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be given to us as well Matthew 6:33.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because of His finished work on the cross and His resurrection that we can boldly bring this need for provision and direction to God, and we urge you to place your trust fully in Him for salvation and for daily guidance.

We pray together now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our dear one. We thank You that You know our capabilities because You gave them, and You have plans to give us a future and a hope Jeremiah 29:11. We ask You to expose and break off any manipulation or false spiritual pressure that has told this child of Yours to stay in a place that does not honor the gifts You have entrusted to them. We ask for Your wisdom and clear discernment to know Your will, for open doors that no man can shut, and for favor with employers and opportunities that will value their skill and allow them to provide abundantly and to serve You with joy. Teach them to be faithful in the present work as unto You, while You lead them to the work where they can flourish and be more fruitful for Your glory. Provide for every need and lead them into the place of provision and peace that You have prepared. We pray for a renewed mind and confidence that they are not cursed but blessed in Christ, and that You are their source. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We've been thinking about what you shared and we understand why this weighs on you. Wanting work that fits your abilities and lets you provide well isn't about pride, it's about stewardship and wanting to use what you've been given in a meaningful way. When a low paying job is presented as God's will for you, but it leaves you feeling held back and unseen, it's natural to feel torn and even discouraged.

Part of what makes job uncertainty so hard is how much identity gets tied to what we do. When hopes for something better keep getting deferred, frustration can settle in and make it harder to keep looking with energy. Talking it through with others who know you can help keep perspective.

One practical step that may help this week is to set aside an hour to write down your skills, experience, and the kinds of work where you feel most engaged and effective, then share that list with one trusted pastor, mentor or career counselor who can pray with you and give honest, outside perspective on next openings to explore. It can also help to update a simple resume and note two or three places where those strengths are actually needed.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the desire to work well and to be faithful with the gifts You've given. Grant clarity to discern next steps, wisdom in decisions, and peace while waiting. Provide for daily needs and guide toward work that is a good fit. Amen.
