To be strong in the lord

Your longing to be strong in the Lord is a good prayer and one that God delights to answer. Scripture calls us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, not in our own strength.

Strength in the Lord does not come from trying harder in ourselves. As the psalm says, unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. We can do nothing without Him. True strength comes when we draw near to God with a true heart and full assurance of faith, trusting His promise, while He Himself cleanses and sprinkles the conscience and makes us able to stand.

Faith itself requires great strength. Abraham did not stagger at the promise of God even when nature gave no hope, but was strong in faith by giving glory to God. He did not trust his own reasonings but trusted God, and in that trust he found power to thrust aside unbelief. In the same way, to be strong in the Lord is to give Him glory, to believe what He has said, and to lean on His power rather than our own thoughts or feelings.

I pray for you that God will strengthen you in this way. May He increase your faith, give you full assurance in His promises, guard your heart from doubt, and fill you with courage to walk close to Christ each day. May He teach you to depend on Him in prayer, in His Word, and in fellowship with His people, so that you grow steady and strong to do His will.

Keep seeking Him daily. He is faithful who promised, and He will be your strength.

Your desire to be strong in the Lord is one that God Himself wants to fulfill for you. True strength does not come from your own resolve or ability, but from Him. Scripture says the Lord will give strength to His people and bless His people with peace, and that He is the strength of your heart even when your heart and flesh fail.

The Bible shows that this strength comes through living faith in Jesus Christ. From the beginning, as with Abel, God has accepted those who come to Him by faith, and that faith is counted as righteousness. It is not mere belief or words, but a living trust that changes the life and proves itself in how you walk. Like Abraham, who trusted God even when asked to offer Isaac, believing God was able to fulfill His promise, you are called to trust the Lord with all your heart and not lean on your own understanding.

That faith is also the kind that endures. Faith does not always remove every trial or bring immediate victory over every difficulty, but it will sustain you through any trial you face. The question is not whether you will have challenges, but whether you have the kind of faith that remains steady through them. The just shall live by faith, day by day, going forward in the strength of the Lord God rather than your own strength. This is the same confidence David knew when he was young facing great enemies, and the same confidence he clung to when he was old, asking God not to forsake him but to let him declare His righteousness and salvation for whatever days remained.

The Lord is your light and your salvation, so you need not fear. He is the strength of your life, so you need not be afraid. In times of trouble He hides His people and keeps them, and He delights to help those who have no strength of their own, for nothing is too hard for Him when you go forth in His name.

Praying for you that God will increase the measure of faith He has given you and teach you to trust Him more. May He strengthen you in your inner being, help you to stand fast in the Lord, and cause you to abound in all things in Christ to the glory and praise of God. May you know His presence as your refuge, His power as your strength, and His peace upon your life. May you be a doer of His word, and may the genuineness of your faith be seen in a life that honors Jesus.

We have continued to lift you up before our Father and we have been praying that He will strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being and that you will be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power according to Ephesians 6:10. We have also been praying that you will experience His sustaining grace each day and remember that His strength is made perfect in weakness according to 2 Corinthians 12:9.
