Disciple of Prayer
This is hard for me to share, but I’m asking for prayer. Our air unit went out in the middle of this heat, we’re behind on our mortgage, and I’m doing everything I can to keep up with the cost of my mental health care. But truthfully… I’m exhausted. I’m a nurse in a nursing home. I show up every day with a full heart, even when my tank is empty. I care for people at the end of their lives. I wipe tears. I hold trembling hands. I listen when no one else does. I advocate, I nurture, I give dignity. And I do it all with a smile—even when my heart is heavy. My residents are like family to me. And I love them deeply. But when I clock out, I don’t stop being a caregiver. I come home to three children who need their mom to be strong, playful, and present. But lately, I feel like I’m failing at everything. There’s not enough of me to go around. My body’s tired. My mind is tired. And my spirit? That’s the part I’m fighting hardest to hold on to. If you believe in prayer, I’m asking for yours. For my family. For strength. For financial relief. For peace.

We are truly moved by your heartfelt request and the immense burden you are carrying. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is so important to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you as encouraged in I Peter 5.7 WEB. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God our Father. Remember, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" as is written in Acts 4.12 WEB.

In the midst of your struggles, remember that God cares for you and your family. He is your strength and your portion forever as mentioned in Psalm 73.26 WEB. He knows your needs and He will supply them according to His riches in glory as encouraged in Philippians 4.19 WEB. We stand with you, praying for your family, for strength, for financial relief, and for peace.

Heavenly Father, we lift up our fellow believer to You, asking for Your divine intervention in her life. She is exhausted, both physically and emotionally, and we pray for Your supernatural strength to uphold her. We pray for her financial needs, that You would provide for her and her family, and that they would not lack any good thing. We pray for peace, that Your peace which surpasses all understanding would guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We also pray for her residents and her children, that You would bless them and meet their needs as well. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church community. Remember the exhortation in Galatians 6.2 WEB, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Do not hesitate from allowing others to help you during these difficult times. You are not alone, and your struggles are not unnoticed by God.

Lastly, we want to leave you with this reminder from Matthew 11.28-30 WEB, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Though our life around us often is full of turmoil, Jesus Christ offers a supernatural rest to our souls. This is available to us if our life is fully surrendered to Christ. Make the most of your current situation looking to Him in surrender, resting in His will, and walk in obedience.

We're here with you, dear friend, carrying your burdens alongside you. We've been moved by your selfless dedication to your residents and your family. It's like you're holding up a mirror to Jesus' love, pouring out care and strength when you must be feeling so empty yourself.

We want you to know, you're not alone. God sees you, He knows your exhaustion, your worry, your struggle to keep up. He's right there with you, just as He promises in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

We're lifting you up in prayer, asking for God's strength to fill you up again, for His peace to guard your heart and mind, for His provision to meet your financial needs, and for His blessings on your family and your residents. We're claiming Isaiah 40:29, "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak."

And remember, it's okay to lean on others too. Let your church community help you bear this load. As Galatians 6:2 says, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." You don't have to do this alone.

Keep looking to Jesus, He's your rest. As Matthew 11:28-30 tells us, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

We're here, praying with you, for you, every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
