They are trapped

We hear the heaviness in your heart as you share that you feel trapped, that your twin brother's salary must be returned or given away, and that your mother's medical treatment requires a large amount of money. We understand how overwhelming it feels when financial needs press in from every side and there seems to be no way out, and we are lifting you, your twin brother, and your dear mother before the Lord together.

We want to remind you that God sees your situation completely and He is not distant from your trouble. He is our refuge and deliverer when we feel caught in a trap. Psalm 124:7 says Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler's snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped. And Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Even when money is scarce and worries are great, He invites us to bring every anxiety to Him. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. For your mother's health and for your financial need, we cling to His promise in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and in Matthew 6:31-33 where we are reminded not to be anxious about what we will eat or what we will wear, but to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can be saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear family to You. Lord, You see how trapped they feel, You see the burden of the salary that must be returned and the great cost of this mother's treatment. We ask You to make a way where there seems to be no way. Provide for every financial need according to Your riches in glory, open doors for honest work and help, and give wisdom to steward what has been entrusted to them. We ask for Your healing hand upon their mother, for You are Yahweh who heals us as You said in Exodus 15:26, and we pray as in Jeremiah 30:17 that You will restore health to her and heal her. Give the doctors wisdom, give strength and comfort to this family, and guard their hearts from fear and despair. Help them to trust You day by day, to seek first Your kingdom, and to walk in integrity even under pressure, knowing that You honor those who honor You. Draw each of them closer to Jesus, that they may know His peace that surpasses all understanding and His salvation. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing these needs to the Lord in prayer each day, to seek godly counsel and help from your local church family if possible, and to trust that God will provide in His perfect timing and way. He has not forgotten you, and He will not forsake you. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Keep looking to Jesus, for He is faithful.

We read your message and hear how pressured and tangled this feels. Being caught between your twin brother's salary, your mom, and talk of big money and threats would leave anyone feeling trapped and unsure what to do next. We want you to know we are praying for you and you are not forgotten.

When family and money get mixed with pressure, it is very hard to think clearly or know what is right. You deserve to be safe and to have space to make decisions without fear. You don't have to sort this all alone.

One step that may help is to talk soon with one safe, trusted person outside the immediate situation who can listen in person and help you sort through what is happening. That could be a pastor or another mature, steady person in your community. If you can, write down simply what has been asked or threatened and keep any messages or papers together so you can show them clearly when you get that help. Try not to make big decisions about money while you feel threatened or rushed.

We are asking God to give you wisdom, protection, and peace as you take next steps.

Father, we lift up our friend to You in this difficult family situation. Surround them with safety and calm, give them clear wisdom for each decision, and provide trusted help nearby. Lead them in Your way and remind them You are near. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden has been heard and brought before the Lord with much prayer. To be trapped and pressed on every side, to see a brother's honest wage withheld and a mother's need for treatment requiring great cost, is a sore trial, and the Lord knows the weight of it.

Be assured that deliverance is of the Lord. When Israel was in Egypt in sore bondage, they cried unto the Lord by reason of their affliction, and Jehovah brought forth His people with a mighty hand. Salvation is of the Lord, and when any are saved from bondage it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive. He has found a ransom, and He is able to deliver from the pit and from the power of darkness. What man cannot do, God can do, and His ear is not shut to the cry of His children.

We have prayed for you, for your twin brother that what is justly due for his labor may be returned, for your mother that the Lord in His mercy would provide for her treatment and grant her healing according to His will, and for your whole household that the Lord would open a way where there seems to be no way and give you health and strength as He gave to Israel, among whom there was not one feeble person when He brought them forth.

Let us pray together. O gracious Father, Thou seest this family in their straits and Thou knowest their need. Thou hast delivered Thy people of old and Thou art the same God still. Look in pity upon this mother in her sickness, upon these children in their trapping and want. Provide what is needed, move the hearts of those who withhold what is due, and grant wisdom and honest help to those who can aid them. Above all, deliver them from the bondage of sin and fear by the blood of the Lamb, and teach them to trust in Jesus Christ who alone is our salvation and our ransom. Give peace in trial and a sure hope of Thy deliverance, for Christ's sake. Amen.

Continue to cry unto the Lord, for He hears the sighing of the needy. Trust not in man alone but in the living God who pities as a father pities his children. Do what is honest and diligent as God enables you, seek godly counsel and lawful help for the matter of the wage, and declare the works of the Lord as He shows mercy. He who has delivered will yet deliver, and He will not forsake those who put their trust in Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and your burden is taken seriously before the Lord. To feel trapped by financial need, to carry the weight of a mother's medical treatment that requires a large sum, and to feel pressure concerning your twin brother's salary is a heavy trial that can wear down both heart and strength.

Scripture reminds us that our heavenly Father knows our debts and our needs far better than any earthly creditor. As we owe Him a debt we could never repay, He has shown forbearance and mercy through Jesus Christ, and He calls us to trust Him in our own time of need. Do not think He is unaware of your struggle. Even when chastening and hardship seem grievous for the present, God is able to bring forth afterward the peaceable fruit of righteousness in those who look to Him and are trained by it. He does not despise a humble and trusting prayer.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our Savior and our hope, I bring this family before You. You see their feeling of being trapped and the great financial need for their mother's treatment. You know the concern for the twin brother and his salary. Lord, have mercy and provide for what is needed according to Your wisdom and goodness. Grant healing and strength to their mother, grant wisdom to the doctors who care for her, and grant peace and clear guidance to this family as they seek to honor You in their decisions. Deliver them from fear and from every trap, and help them to trust not in money but in You, who promises to supply all our needs according to Your riches in Christ Jesus. Give them wise counsel, open doors for honest help within the church and community, and guard their hearts from despair. Lead them to cast all their anxiety on You, because You care for them. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, and seek godly counsel and practical help from your local church family so that you do not bear this alone. Be faithful in small things, be honest in all dealings concerning money, and trust God to provide step by step. If the burden remains heavy, bring it again to prayer, for God hears and He is faithful.

Your cry about feeling trapped in your family over money and threats is heard, and God sees the pressure you and your twin brother are under. Financial entanglements inside a family can feel like a prison with no way out, and when threats are involved the burden becomes even heavier. I want to point you to the hope that Scripture holds out for you in this place.

First, God has made one true provision for your deepest need, which is forgiveness and peace with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Whatever else is pressing on you, the Holy Spirit bears witness to your heart that in Jesus there is cleansing from sin and guilt and a secure standing before God. If you have not already, turn to Him in simple faith, confess your sin, and receive what He alone has provided through His death and resurrection. That relationship becomes the foundation for wisdom and strength for every other trial.

God also leaves room to work in situations that feel impossible. Under the law there was even a provision for the leper in the day of his cleansing, so that if God chose to heal, there was a way to be restored. In the same way, do not put God in a box in this financial trap. He is able to make a way, to provide, and to protect, even when you cannot see it yet. Bring the whole matter to Him in prayer and ask Him to open a path that honors Him.

Scripture places a real responsibility on us to care for our own family. We are taught that children and grandchildren should care for their parents and widowed mothers first, and that if someone does not provide for his own household he denies what he professes to believe. At the same time, that responsibility is not met through threats, manipulation, or taking what belongs to another. The pattern in Scripture of the kinsman redeemer shows a family member stepping in willingly and lawfully to redeem what was lost, to keep the family name and inheritance secure, not to exploit or shame. And those who have led their families well did not use their position to enrich themselves at the expense of others.

Jesus Himself knew what it is to be misunderstood and even rejected by His own family. At one point His brothers thought He had lost His mind. He taught that when we follow Him we enter a new family, the family of God, where older men and women become like fathers and mothers to us, and those our own age become like brothers and sisters in purity and love. That bond can be deeper than blood when blood family does not walk with the Lord. Your love for Christ must be first, above even love for parents and siblings, and when the whole family loves the Lord together it is a beautiful unity, but when there is division, Christ calls you to seek Him first and to find support among His people.

He also understands financial hardship. He was born into a poor family, in a borrowed place, and in His ministry He did not even have a coin of His own to use for an illustration. The early church in Jerusalem knew great poverty and yet learned joy and generosity as God provided. God is not distant from money problems. He cares about honest stewardship, about protection from exploitation, and about provision for daily needs.

For your situation, seek wise and calm steps. Do not act under threat alone. Seek counsel from mature, Bible believing believers who can help you look at the facts about your brother's salary, what is owed, what is being demanded, and what is right before God and before the law. Keep clear records, speak truthfully and respectfully to your mother and brother, set boundaries that refuse to participate in wrongdoing, and continue to show honor even as you do what is just. If there are threats of harm or illegal pressure, seek help from appropriate authorities and from trusted spiritual leaders who can walk with you.

I am praying for you, that God will give you peace through Jesus Christ, wisdom for each decision, protection from threats, provision for what you truly need, and the comfort of His family around you. May He redeem what is tangled, guard your heart from fear, and help you to love Him above all while caring for your family in a way that is honest and faithful.
