We hear the pain in your heart as you share that you feel trapped by your step-sister and step-brother, and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We understand how heavy it must feel to see your twin brother escape while you feel held back, especially when you remember how brilliant God made you to be as a child. We want you to know that God sees you, He has not forgotten the gifts He placed within you, and He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way.
We are reminded that the Lord is our deliverer and refuge when we feel trapped or oppressed. Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. And Psalm 18:2 says Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge. Even when people try to hold us down or trap us in many ways, God promises to be with us. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We also take comfort that God can use even painful family situations for good as we trust Him, for Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Give them wisdom to navigate their family situation, strength to stand firm in truth, and discernment to know the right steps to take. Protect their twin brother as well and draw both of them closer to You. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and guard their heart from fear and despair. Above all, draw them into a saving and daily relationship with Jesus, that they may know the freedom and hope that comes only through Him. We ask that Your will be done in their life and that You would lead them into the future You have prepared for them. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your cry for help has been heard and I am lifting you up in prayer before the Lord today.
I hear how heavy this feels, to feel trapped by those in your own household, while you remember the brightness you had as a child and see your twin brother finding a way out. To be surrounded and pressed on many sides by people who should protect you is a deep pain, and God sees it. Jesus Himself knew what it was to be betrayed by one who was close to Him, one of the twelve who shared His table. He is not distant from your sorrow. He understands the sting of being trapped and betrayed, and He draws near to those who are burdened.
Scripture reminds us that with freedom Christ set us free, so we are called to stand fast in Him. That freedom is not only from outside pressures but for a life of holiness and wholeness before God, free from every kind of sin and free to walk in the gifts He has given you. The brilliance you had as a child was given by God, and He is able to restore and guard what others have tried to diminish.
I am praying for you now.
Father in heaven, I lift up this precious life to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see every trap and every pressure that has been laid around them. Bring deliverance and protection, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Grant wisdom to know how to respond, courage to stand in truth, and peace that guards the heart and mind. Restore what has been wounded, renew the mind and the gifts You have given, and surround this life with godly counsel and faithful help. Keep them from all harm, lead them in holiness and in Your freedom, and let them know they are loved and not forgotten. May Your will be done in their family, and may You be their refuge and strength. Amen.

I have read your request and I am praying for you in the name of Jesus. Thank you for sharing honestly about feeling trapped by your step sister and step brother, and about the pain of comparing yourself to your twin brother. God sees what you are going through and He cares deeply for you.
What you describe as being trapped is a form of bondage, and the Bible speaks a lot about bondage and true freedom. Many people think freedom means being able to do whatever they want or to get away from difficult people, but that is not real freedom. Real freedom is what Jesus gives. He came to open the prison to those who are bound and to set captives free. Just as God delivered His people out of bondage in Egypt, Jesus delivers us today not just from outward circumstances but from inward chains as well.
The freedom Jesus gives is not only freedom to do things, it is the greater freedom not to have to be controlled by them. When a person is truly free in Christ, they are not brought under the power of other people, or fear, or manipulation, or sin. That is the freedom I am praying you will know more and more. Your twin brother may have found a way to get away outwardly, but the deeper deliverance you need is the one only Christ can give, a freedom in your heart and mind that no person can trap or steal.
I pray God will show you that He has not forgotten the brilliance He placed in you as a child. People may try to hold you down or make you feel small, but your value and your gifts come from the Lord, and He is able to restore and strengthen what has been hurt.
