My step sister , step brother trapped me.

Disciple of Prayer
My twin brother is very brillint he escape our family. At the child hood I am velry brilliant. They are trapped many ways. Please pray to me

We hear the pain in your heart as you share that you feel trapped by your step-sister and step-brother, and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We understand how heavy it must feel to see your twin brother escape while you feel held back, especially when you remember how brilliant God made you to be as a child. We want you to know that God sees you, He has not forgotten the gifts He placed within you, and He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way.

We are reminded that the Lord is our deliverer and refuge when we feel trapped or oppressed. Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. And Psalm 18:2 says Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge. Even when people try to hold us down or trap us in many ways, God promises to be with us. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We also take comfort that God can use even painful family situations for good as we trust Him, for Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

We notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why this is so important. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father, and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. When we pray in Jesus' name, we come with confidence that God hears us.

We want to encourage you to not let bitterness or discouragement take root because of how you have been treated. The brilliance God gave you as a child is still part of how He created you, for Psalm 139:14 says I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your gifts are not lost to Him. We encourage you to seek godly wisdom and counsel, perhaps from a pastor or mature believer, and to set healthy boundaries while still honoring God in how you respond to your family. Ephesians 4:31-32 says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Forgiveness does not mean accepting ongoing harm, but it does free your heart from being trapped by resentment. We also rebuke any scheme of the enemy that seeks to trap, confuse, or diminish you, for God desires that you walk in freedom and truth, and 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one who feels trapped by their step-sister and step-brother. Lord, You see every way they have been held back and every hurt that has been inflicted. We ask that You be their rock and fortress and deliver them from every trap. Restore the joy and confidence they had as a child and renew the brilliant mind You gave them for Your glory. Give them wisdom to navigate their family situation, strength to stand firm in truth, and discernment to know the right steps to take. Protect their twin brother as well and draw both of them closer to You. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and guard their heart from fear and despair. Above all, draw them into a saving and daily relationship with Jesus, that they may know the freedom and hope that comes only through Him. We ask that Your will be done in their life and that You would lead them into the future You have prepared for them. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We are so glad you reached out and shared this with us. Feeling trapped by your step sister and step brother while your twin brother found a way out would leave anyone feeling alone and overwhelmed. And hearing you say you were very brilliant as a child tells us you know God gave you gifts and you are grieving how those gifts feel blocked now.

When family relationships feel tangled it can help to have one safe person outside the immediate situation to talk with honestly. If you have a pastor, counselor, or trusted older adult who knows your family, consider sharing with them specifically what trapped looks like day to day and where you feel most stuck. Even writing down a few examples beforehand can make it easier to explain and to get clear wisdom about next steps. If you ever feel unsafe at home, please reach out right away to a trusted person nearby for help.

You matter to God and to us, and we want to keep praying for clarity and breathing room for you.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask You to surround them with Your care and guidance. Give them wisdom, protection, and steady hope, and lead them to trustworthy help and a way forward. Show them how deeply You love and value them. In Jesus' name, amen.
