Could you please pray that these children are not left to die (Psalm 82:3-4, Proverbs 24:11-12), but live and fulfill all the days God has written in their book, to the glory of God in Jesus' name? We join with you in this burden for the unborn and we thank you for bringing this before us, for the Lord indeed hears the cry of the innocent and calls us to defend them.

We agree that every child in the womb is fearfully and wonderfully made by God and bears His image. Scripture tells us Psalm 139:13-16 For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them. And Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. We also remember Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. And Genesis 1:27 God created man in his own image.

The shedding of innocent blood is an abomination to the Lord, as it is written Proverbs 6:16-17 There are six things which Yahweh hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood. And Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder. We must speak the truth in love that abortion is the taking of innocent human life and stands in opposition to God's will for life to be protected and cherished. We rebuke this culture of death and we pray for repentance in our nation and in the nations, for the forgiveness that is only found through the blood of Jesus, and for hearts to turn toward life.

You have asked us to pray Psalm 82:3-4 Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. And Proverbs 24:11-12 Rescue those who are being led away to death. Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter. If you say, Behold, we didn't know this, doesn't he who weighs the hearts consider it? Doesn't he who keeps your soul know it? Doesn't he repay every man according to his work? We take these words to heart and we ask God to make us faithful to obey them.

We lift this together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that there is salvation, as it is written John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We pray, Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ your Son and we ask for mercy for the millions of unborn children who are in danger of being aborted each year. Lord, you are the Author of life and you have numbered all their days before one of them came to be, let them live and fulfill all the days you have written in their book to your glory. We ask that you stay the hands that would shed innocent blood, that you change hearts and laws to protect the fatherless and the helpless. We pray for every mother facing fear and pressure, that you would surround her with love, support, truth and practical help, that she would see the precious life within her as you see it and choose life. We pray for fathers to rise up to protect and provide, for families and churches to open their arms to adopt and to care for women and children in need, and for those who have participated in abortion to find repentance, healing and forgiveness through Jesus. We pray for those in authority to defend the weak and to execute justice with righteousness. Lord, forgive us where we have been silent and stir us to rescue those being led away to death. Let your church be a voice for the voiceless and a refuge for the vulnerable. We ask that you cause life to prevail over death in our land and that these little ones would live to know you and to glorify you. We trust you to hear and to act according to your perfect will. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We share your heart and we will continue to remember these precious children before the Lord from time to time as you have asked, trusting that He who weighs the hearts will repay and will defend His little ones. May the Lord encourage you as you stand faithfully in prayer, and may He bless you as you continue to intercede for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Thank you for sharing this burden so tenderly. We hear your love for these little lives and your longing that each one would be given the chance to live all the days God has for them.

Father, we lift to You every unborn child and every mother carrying a child in uncertainty. Draw near with Your protection and mercy, provide help and hope where it is most needed, and guide each life according to Your good purposes. We have heard your burden for the unborn and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, for this is a cause that must lie near to the heart of Him who is the Prince of Life and the Author of life.

We do indeed pray that the Lord in His mercy will defend these helpless ones, that they may not be left to die but may live and fulfill all the days which God has written in His book, to the praise and glory of His grace in Jesus Christ. As the Scripture says, we are to defend the poor and fatherless, to do justice to the afflicted and needy, and to deliver them, and again, to deliver those that are drawn unto death and those that are ready to be slain. We take these words as our warrant to plead with God for them.

We pray that the eternal life which is the gift of God may be known among us, for Christ is the Tree of Life and the fountain of the Water of Life. He who made all things, and in whom was life, alone can give life and sustain it. We beseech Him to have mercy upon a land that so lightly esteems the life He creates, to awaken conscience, to restrain the hand of violence, and to turn hearts to cherish the little ones whom He has formed. We pray that mothers and fathers may be given grace to receive these children as gifts from His hand, that families and the whole household of faith may be moved to rescue and to uphold, and that those who have taken part in this great sorrow may find forgiveness and newness of life through the blood of Jesus who bore our sins upon the cross.

Be assured that we have remembered this matter in prayer and, as you have desired, we shall continue to do so from time to time, asking the Lord to cause life to triumph and to let every life He has ordained be lived out for His glory.

May the Lord hear our united cry, may He show mercy to the helpless, and may He grant that many who are yet unborn shall live to know Him who is our life, and to serve Him here and hereafter. In the name of Jesus our Life and our Hope we ask it, Amen.

Your burden for the unborn is heard with thankfulness, and I join my prayer to yours before God who is the giver of life.

We pray together that the Lord would have mercy on these little ones and defend them as He commands us in His word. As it is written, defend the weak and the fatherless and rescue those being led away to death, for God sees and will repay. We ask that these children would not be left to die, but would be protected and born, and would live all the days written for them in His book, to the glory of God through Jesus Christ our Lord. We ask this trusting that Christ ever lives to make intercession for us, and that He hears the continual prayer of those who call upon Him with persistence as the widow who kept coming to the judge.

Be assured that I will remember this intention from time to time in prayer, and I encourage you also to continue steadfastly, not with many empty words but with faithful and earnest supplication. Let us also do what we can to contribute our own diligence and protection and help for our neighbor, for each of us has received ability from God to serve the common good, and nothing is so pleasing to Him as to live for the benefit of others. May the Lord give these children life, and may He grant us grace to speak and act for them with a pure life and true faith, so that all may be done to the glory of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
