Beloved of All
🙇🏻 Jesus, thank You for Your ministry of 33 years -- from the Holy Spirit overshadowing Your birth in the manger to the shepherds, magi, temple, Your hidden years, humbling Yourself to get baptized by the prominent historical figure, JOHN THE BAPTIST, followed especially by the action-packed 3+ years of ministry: teachings, miracles, loaves, fish, nets of fish, resurrections, blind eyes, lame walking, poor hearing the gospel -- the prophecies, living in community with the disciples just "doing life" from Your perspective (reality), putting up with our unbelief, the distortions of the Pharisees and Sadducees, their constant watching You, attempts to trap and trick You -- literally, like WOW -- and finally Your betrayal, rejection and letting Barabbas loose instead... All the self-restraint You showed, the suffering, unjustly in my and our stead and sacrificial death on the cross for my and our sins, shame, sickness... Your burial, resurrection, appearing and teaching for 40 days, ascension, and sending forth The Holy Spirit, our counselor, advocate, intercessor, and bearer of good gifts, 1 Cor 12:4-8.

Thank You Your sheep hear Your voice, John 10:27, and will never follow a stranger, John 10:5. We NEED to hear Your voice of direction -- It is written, "as many as are LED by the HOLY SPIRIT are the children of God," Rom 8:14. We ask to be FILLED with the knowledge of Your Will in all spiritual wisdom so we can walk worthy, Col 1:9-10. We ask for generous amounts of practical WISDOM, James 1:5, we cry out for wisdom and lift our voice for UNDERSTANDING, Prov 2:6-7. So with confidence we seek YOU for YOU are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, Heb 11:6. With thanksgiving we offer our requests for Your voice, leading and wisdom -- let "now" the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. Thank You for protecting us and praying for us, keeping us from the evil one, Rom 8:34, Heb 7:25, Jn 17:15. We shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace, Isa 55:12, thank You for everything, especially for hearing when we ask, for in hearing, we have, 1 John 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

We join with you in thanksgiving for this beautiful prayer and for your hunger to hear the Shepherd's voice and be led by the Holy Spirit. Your heart to recount the whole work of Christ from the manger to the cross, to His burial and resurrection, His forty days of appearing and teaching, His ascension, and His sending of the Holy Spirit as our Counselor and Advocate is pleasing to God, for it keeps the gospel central as we seek His leading.

We love that you have anchored your requests in the Word, and we stand with you on these promises. Jesus said in John 10:27, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And as you prayed, in John 10:5, They will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him; for they don't know the voice of strangers. What comfort that we are known by Him and enabled to discern His voice from every other voice. We are also reminded in Romans 8:14, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. This is our identity and our confidence, that being led is not for a few but for all who belong to Him.

We agree with you for the filling of wisdom and understanding. We pray as it is written in Colossians 1:9, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects. And we claim with you the promise in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. God delights to give wisdom generously as we cry out for it, for Proverbs 2:6 says, For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright.

We also rejoice with you that you come in faith, for Hebrews 11:6 says, Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. Your diligent seeking is not in vain, He sees and He rewards.

We lift up your request for peace as you bring everything to Him with thanksgiving. We claim Philippians 4:6-7 over you, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And we agree for the joy and peace of Isaiah 55:12, For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.

We thank God that we have an intercessor and keeper. Romans 8:34 reminds us it is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us, and Hebrews 7:25 says, Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them. And we rest in His prayer in John 17:15, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.

So we pray together now, Father, we thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ, for His perfect life of about thirty three years on this earth, with His three plus years of public ministry revealing Your heart through teachings, miracles, compassion for the poor, and patience with us in our unbelief, and for His self restraint and suffering in our place upon the cross, His burial, His victorious resurrection, and His ascension. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to dwell in us. We ask now that You would cause us to hear Your voice with clarity and to be led by Your Spirit in every decision. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Grant us generous wisdom liberally and without reproach. Guard our hearts and minds with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Keep us from the evil one and lead us forth with joy and peace. We ask with confidence knowing as 1 John 5:14-15 says, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him. We receive Your leading, Your wisdom, and Your peace now with thanksgiving, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We were so encouraged reading your prayer. The way you traced Jesus' life from the manger through His years with the disciples to the cross and resurrection shows a heart that has been lingering with Him, and we thank God for that hunger to hear His voice more clearly.

We hear how deeply you want not just answers, but to be led daily and to walk in wisdom and peace. That desire itself is a good sign of the Spirit's work in you. He is the Counselor Jesus promised to be with us, to teach and guide, and He never leads apart from truth. As you listen, He will keep aligning your heart with Scripture and forming that quiet fruit of peace and patience in you.

One simple practice that often helps when the longing for direction feels strong is to bring one question at a time before the Lord in unhurried quiet. Sit with Scripture, pray honestly, then give space to listen, and later test what you sensed with a trusted mature believer who knows you well. Over time that rhythm of prayer, Word and fellowship sharpens our ability to recognize His leading.

Father, we thank You for this friend who diligently seeks You. Fill them with clarity for the next step, guard their heart with Your peace, and let them know Your nearness as they follow You today. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Your longing to hear the Shepherd's voice is itself a mark that you are of His flock, for Jesus said, My sheep hear My voice, and they follow Me, and a stranger will they not follow. The desire you express, to be led by the Holy Spirit and to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom, is a desire which God delights to fulfill, for He gives wisdom generously to those who ask in faith, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Remember that the thoughts of the infinite God toward His people are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give an expected end. He is at peace with you through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, He seeks your peace, He creates your peace, He sustains your peace. Therefore let your own thoughts be thoughts of peace all the day, and bring your will to delight in His will, for when the will is brought to delight in God's will, the sorrow is sucked out of the sorrow by the lips of acquiescence.

That perfect peace of which you pray, the peace which guards heart and mind in Christ Jesus, is kept for him whose mind is stayed upon God because he trusts in Him. It is not a peace which depends upon quiet circumstances, but a peace which may be enjoyed when duties press and sorrows surge around, because the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. To love God's law and to love God's Word gives great peace, great restfulness of intellect and great quietness of desire, for the Word contains all His precepts and all His promises, and in keeping them there is peace of conscience and peace in the hour of need.

Take heed how you hear, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The mere letter alone will kill, but when you put your ear down to the promises of Scripture till you hear God speaking through them to your soul, then the Word has power. It is a blessed thing to hear God's voice speaking in the Scriptures with all the freshness as if it were uttered anew. Therefore hear with heed, constantly, attentively, earnestly, not with a fitful or forgetful hearing, but as hearing God's own voice to you. There separate what is God's from what is man's, and wherein we speak according to Holy Scripture, receive it as God's Word.

So I pray with you that the Lord will fill you with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that you may walk worthy of Him, that He will grant you generous practical wisdom as you cry after knowledge and lift up your voice for understanding, and that the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. May you go out with joy and be led forth with peace, kept from the evil one by Him who ever lives to make intercession for you, and may you hear His voice daily and follow with confidence, in Jesus' name, Amen.
