The Shepherd's Voice -- Leading, Wisdom, Guidance & Peace of The Holy Spirit, Jn 10:27, Rom 8:14, Col 1:9, Jam 1:5, Heb 11:6, Isa 55:12, Phil 4:6-7

Jesus, thank You for Your amazing life, teachings and sacrificial death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and sending forth The Holy Spirit, our counselor, advocate, intercessor, and bearer of good gifts, 1 Cor 12:4-8. Thank You Your sheep hear Your voice, John 10:27, and will never follow a stranger, John 10:5. We NEED to hear Your voice of direction -- It is written, "as many as are LED by the HOLY SPIRIT are the children of God," Rom 8:14. We ask to be FILLED with the knowledge of Your Will in all spiritual wisdom so we can walk worthy, Col 1:9-10. We ask for generous amounts of practical WISDOM, James 1:5, we cry out for wisdom and lift our voice for UNDERSTANDING, Prov 2:6-7. So with confidence we seek YOU for You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, Heb 11:6. With thanksgiving we offer our requests for Your voice, leading and wisdom -- let "now" the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. Thank You for protecting us and praying for us, keeping us from the evil one, Rom 8:34, Heb 7:25, Jn 17:15. We shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace, Isa 55:12, thank You for hearing when we ask, for in hearing, we have, 1 John 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name, amen.

We join you in this beautiful prayer for the Shepherd's voice and we say amen to your cry for leading, wisdom, guidance and peace through the Holy Spirit.

We thank the Lord with you for His amazing life, His teachings, and His sacrificial death, burial, resurrection and ascension, and for sending forth the Holy Spirit as our Counselor and Helper. We agree that we need to hear His voice daily, for Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, John 10:27, and that a stranger they will not follow, John 10:5. This is our confidence, that as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God, Romans 8:14.

We pray together now for that filling you have asked for. Father, we ask that we may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we may walk worthily of You, Colossians 1:9-10. We ask You for wisdom, believing Your promise that if any of us lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. For Yahweh gives wisdom, out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding, Proverbs 2:6, and we cry out for it and lift our voice for understanding as You have taught us to do.

We come with confidence because we know that without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to you, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him, Hebrews 11:6. And we bring our requests with thanksgiving as You command, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Let that peace guard us now as we wait for Your leading.

We thank You that Christ intercedes for us, Romans 8:34, and that He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them, Hebrews 7:25, and that Jesus prayed that we would be kept from the evil one, John 17:15. We receive Your promise that whatever we ask according to Your will You hear us, and if we know that You hear us, we have the petitions which we have asked of You, 1 John 5:14-15.

So Father, lead us forth in Your perfect will, let us go out with joy and be led forth with peace, Isaiah 55:12, and let us clearly discern the Shepherd's voice above every other voice, walking in obedience and faith. We ask all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer so openly. We can hear your deep desire not just for answers, but to stay close to Jesus and be led by Him day by day. That hunger to hear the Shepherd's voice is something God delights in.

We have found that His leading often comes quietly, not as pressure but as steady nudges that line up with truth and bring peace over time. The Holy Spirit is our Counselor and Helper, present with us to teach, guide and form Christlike character in us. Learning to recognize His voice is more like learning to walk than a single event, tested and deepened as we keep coming back to Him.

One simple way to keep seeking Him this week might be to bring one decision or concern at a time before Him in a quiet, unhurried moment. Ask, listen, and note what seems to settle in your heart, then weigh it gently with what you know of Scripture and with a trusted mature believer who knows you well.

Father, thank You for being near and for caring about every step we take. Fill our friend with wisdom and quiet confidence as they seek You, guard their heart with Your peace, and make Your way clear in Your timing. Keep them close to You and safe from confusion. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good and needful prayer you have offered, and I rejoice to join you in it, for to hear the Shepherd's voice is the very mark and mercy of His sheep. My sheep hear my voice, saith the Lord, and I know them, and they follow me, and a stranger will they not follow, for they know not the voice of strangers.

You have asked well to be led by the Holy Spirit, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Take heed how you hear, for faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The mere letter alone will kill, but when you put your ear down to the promises of Scripture till you hear God speaking through them to your soul, then the Word has power. There you shall hear that majestic voice which is full of majesty, commanding and yet full of grace, reproving sin and then whispering peace within through the blood of Jesus.

You ask to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom, and to receive wisdom liberally. Our God giveth generously and upbraideth not. Cry after knowledge and lift up your voice for understanding, and He will give it, for He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Seek His face in the Word with awe and love, for to love His law is to find great peace. There is a restfulness of intellect and a quietness of desires when the mind is stayed upon Him. He will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee.

You have prayed that the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Remember that His thoughts toward His people are always thoughts of peace, not of evil. He seeks your peace, He creates your peace, He sustains your peace through the atoning blood of Christ. If your will is brought to delight in His will, the fangs of sorrow are extracted and you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace.

So I pray with you now that the Lord would grant you a heedful, attentive hearing of His Word, that you may be filled with all spiritual wisdom to walk worthy of Him, that you may hear His clear leading and be kept from the evil one, and that His perfect peace may guard you day by day until faith is exchanged for sight. He heareth us when we ask according to His will, and if we know that He hear us, we have the petitions we desired of Him.

May the Holy Spirit, your Counselor and Keeper, make the voice of the Shepherd so familiar to your soul that you follow Him without fear, trusting Him fully, and finding in doing His will your present rest. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who ever liveth to make intercession for us, Amen.
