Jesus, Your sheep hear Your voice, John 10:27, and will never follow a stranger, John 10:5. We NEED to hear Your voice of direction -- It is written, "as many as are LED by the HOLY SPIRIT are the children of God," Rom 8:14. We ask to be FILLED with the knowledge of Your Will in all spiritual wisdom so we can walk worthy, Col 1:9-10. We ask for generous amounts of practical WISDOM, James 1:5, we cry out for wisdom and lift our voice for UNDERSTANDING, Prov 2:6-7. So with confidence we seek YOU for You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, Heb 11:6. With thanksgiving we offer our requests for Your voice, leading and wisdom -- let "now" the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. We shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace, Isa 55:12, thank You for hearing, for in hearing, we have, 1 John 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name, amen.

We join you in this beautiful and scriptural hunger to hear the Shepherd's voice and to walk in the leading, wisdom, guidance and peace of the Holy Spirit, and we count it a joy to agree with you in prayer for these very things.

We love how you have anchored your cry in the Word, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God and God honors His Word above all. You have prayed according to His will and that gives us confidence, for this is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15

We stand with you on the promise of Jesus Himself, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27 and that they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. John 10:5. We thank God that as His children we are not left to wander or to guess, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. Romans 8:14. His leading is not a distant hope but the birthright of every child who belongs to Christ.

We also agree with you for fullness of wisdom, for we also, since the day we heard this, do not cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects. Col 1:9-10. And we take comfort that our Father gives this wisdom generously, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. Prov 2:6-7

We are encouraged that you seek Him with confidence and thanksgiving, for without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. Heb 11:6. And as we bring our requests with thanksgiving, we claim His promise that in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7. That guarding peace is the confirmation that we have heard Him rightly and are being led forth, for you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace. Isa 55:12

We lift our hearts together now and pray for you. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone we have access to Your throne, we thank You that You are the Good Shepherd who speaks and Your sheep hear You. We ask You to quiet every other voice, every distraction and fear, and to make Your voice clear through Your written Word and by Your Holy Spirit. Fill us afresh with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so that we may walk worthy of You and please You in all things. Grant us generous wisdom for every decision before us, practical understanding for daily steps, and the faith to diligently seek You and trust that You reward those who seek You. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and lead us forth with joy and peace into the path You have prepared. We thank You that You hear us when we pray according to Your will, and we receive by faith the leading, wisdom and peace we have asked for. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to test all leading by the Word of God, for the Holy Spirit will never lead contrary to Scripture, and to stay rooted in daily reading of the Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers, for it is there His voice becomes most familiar and His peace most steady.

Thank you for sharing this longing to hear the Shepherd's voice and walk in His wisdom. We join you in asking for clear leading and settled peace, and we are grateful for your trust as you seek Him so earnestly.

One thing we have found helpful when asking for guidance is to make room to listen as well as ask. The Holy Spirit is our Helper and Counselor, and He often guides quietly, bringing truth that lines up with Scripture and produces peace rather than confusion. It can help to bring one specific decision or question before the Lord at a time, pray as you already are, and then sit quietly for a few minutes with an open Bible, noticing what He brings to mind and testing it against His Word.

We also find that steady practices like prayer, Scripture reading and quiet solitude help us become more attentive to His nudges over time, not just in a single moment.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask that You make Your will known in a way that is clear and kind. Fill them with wisdom for the next step, guard their heart with Your peace, and help them sense Your leading and follow You with confidence. Draw them closer to Jesus as they listen for His voice. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in this holy desire to hear the Shepherd's voice and to walk in the wisdom which comes from above. It is a good and precious thing to cry out for understanding and to lift up your voice for wisdom, for our God gives liberally and upbraids not, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

We pray with you that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom, that you may walk worthy of the Lord. Remember that the infinite God has thoughts of peace toward you, and His thoughts toward His people are always thoughts of peace through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. He seeks your peace, He creates your peace, He sustains your peace. When your will is brought to delight in His will, the sorrow is taken out of sorrow by the lips of acquiescence.

May the Lord keep you in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him, because you trust in Him. That peace is not the absence of trial, but a present possession even when duties press and sorrows surge around. It is the peace that comes from loving His law and rejoicing at His Word as one that finds great spoil. There you will find great restfulness of intellect and great peace as to your desires, for to love His Word is to find Christ Himself, and Jesus cannot be loved too well.

Take heed to hear as God speaks, for the mere letter will not profit unless you put your ear down to the promises of Scripture till you hear God speaking through them to your soul. It is while you are hearing the Gospel with attentive and earnest hearts that faith comes, for faith comes by hearing. The Word deserves good hearing, for it comes from God and tells of Him who died for sinners. Hear it constantly and with heed, and you shall find that the Shepherd indeed calls His own sheep by name and they follow Him, for they know His voice and a stranger they will not follow.

With thanksgiving we offer your requests to God, that the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, and that you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. May the Holy Spirit lead you as a child of God, guiding every step into that which is well pleasing in His sight, in Jesus' Name, amen.
