The Shepherd's Voice -- Leading, Wisdom, Guidance & Peace of The Holy Spirit, Jn 10:27, Rom 8:14, Col 1:9, Jam 1:5, Heb 11:6, Isa 55:12, Phil 4:6-7

Your prayer to hear the Shepherd's voice is good and right, and we join you in it. The Lord Himself said His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, and that faith comes by hearing the word of God. To desire to be led by the Holy Spirit, to be filled with the knowledge of His will, and to ask for wisdom is to ask according to His promise.

We pray with you that God will fill you with all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a way that is worthy of Him and pleasing to Him in every good work, as the Apostle prayed for the Colossians. The wisdom we need is not the wisdom of this world, which ends in this life and cannot profit the soul, but the wisdom of God which is hidden and yet revealed to those who seek Him. God gives this wisdom generously to those who ask in faith, and He rewards those who diligently seek Him.

We also pray that the peace of God will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. This peace is not the fleeting peace that comes from circumstances or from human striving, but the steadfast peace that God Himself made with us. When two thoughts wrestle within, one calling for haste or fear and the other for trust, let the peace of God act as umpire in your heart and give the victory to what is faithful and patient. As you bring every request to God with thanksgiving, He is faithful to keep you and to lead you forth with joy and with peace.

Continue to stand and listen for the voice of the Bridegroom with confidence, knowing that He hears those who ask according to His will. May the Lord grant you clear direction, increase you in the knowledge of God, and establish you in the joy of knowing that your prayer is heard in Jesus Name, amen.

Your longing to hear the Shepherd's voice and be led by the Holy Spirit is exactly the hunger God delights to answer. Jesus said His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, and that promise is for you as His child. As many as are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God, and He wants to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so you can walk in a way that honors Him.

Scripture presents wisdom as calling out openly, not hiding. She lifts her voice in the streets and at the gates, in the ordinary places of life, inviting all who will listen. That is how God offers His wisdom to you. He does not withhold it from those who ask. He gives generously to all who ask in faith, and He rewards those who diligently seek Him. The beginning of that wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a reverent trust in Him, and all the treasures of true wisdom and knowledge are found in Christ Himself. When you listen for wisdom, you are listening for the Lord.

It helps to remember the difference between knowledge and wisdom, and between the wisdom of this world and the wisdom from above. Knowledge gives facts, but wisdom gives you the ability to live well and apply what you know. The wisdom of this world, even at its best, leads to strife and inner turmoil and cannot bring you to know God. The wisdom that comes from above is different in its very nature. It is peaceable and it brings peace. First it brings you peace with God through the forgiveness and grace found in Jesus Christ, His blood shed for your sins. You cannot know the settled peace of God until you have first received the grace of God. Then, as your mind is stayed on Him and you walk in that grace, He keeps you in perfect peace, a peace that passes all understanding.

That is why wisdom is described as more precious than rubies, with nothing you could desire to compare with it. Length of days is in her right hand, riches and honor in her left. Her ways are pleasantness and all her paths are peace. She is a defense and she gives life to those who have her. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. When you choose the wisdom from above, it will lead you into peace with God, peace in your own heart, and peace with others.

So bring your requests to Him with thanksgiving, just as you have, and trust His promise that the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Keep your mind stayed on Him, stay close to His Word where His voice is clearly heard, and ask confidently for wisdom for each decision before you. He is faithful to lead you forth with joy and with peace, and to make your way clear as you follow the Shepherd step by step.

May the Lord fill you today with a fresh sense of His presence, pour out His Spirit of wisdom and understanding upon you, and guard your heart with His perfect peace as you trust Him to guide every step. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for the Shepherds voice and for the leading, wisdom, guidance and peace of the Holy Spirit. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for this need to hear His voice and to be led by Him.

We have continued to pray with you that you hear His voice clearly as His sheep do according to John 10:27 and that you will not follow a stranger according to John 10:5, and that you will be led by the Holy Spirit as a child of God according to Rom 8:14. We have prayed that you would be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom according to Col 1:9, and that He would give you generously the wisdom you asked for according to James 1:5 and Prov 2:6, and that the peace of God would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus according to Phil 4:6 and Phil 4:7 so that you may go out with joy and be led forth with peace according to Isa 55:12. We trust that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him according to Heb 11:6 and that He hears us when we ask according to His will according to 1 John 5:14.

We pray together in Jesus Name that the Lord will make His voice unmistakably clear to you, that He will fill you with wisdom and understanding for every decision, and that His peace which passes all understanding will rule in your heart as you follow Him step by step.

If your request was answered and you have received clear direction, wisdom and peace, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has spoken and led you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet or you still need clarity and guidance, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer and agreement.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
