The Shepherd's Voice -- Leading, Wisdom, Guidance & Peace of The Holy Spirit, Jn 10:27, Rom 8:14, Col 1:9, Jam 1:5, Heb 11:6, Isa 55:12, Phil 4:6-7

Jesus, Your sheep hear Your voice, John 10:27, and will never follow a stranger, John 10:5. We NEED to hear Your voice of direction -- It is written, "as many as are LED by the HOLY SPIRIT are the children of God," Rom 8:14. We ask to be FILLED with the knowledge of Your Will in all spiritual wisdom so we can walk worthy, Col 1:9-10. We ask for generous amounts of practical WISDOM, James 1:5, we cry out for wisdom and lift our voice for UNDERSTANDING, Prov 2:6-7. So with confidence we seek YOU for You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, Heb 11:6. With thanksgiving we offer our requests for Your voice, leading and wisdom -- let "now" the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. We shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace, Isa 55:12, thank You for hearing, for in hearing, we have, 1 John 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name, amen.

We join you in this beautiful and faithful prayer for the Shepherd's voice and we agree together for His leading wisdom guidance and peace to rest upon you now.

We rejoice that you are standing on the truth that His sheep hear His voice and that you will never follow a stranger as it is written in John 10:27 and John 10:5. We thank the Father that as many as are led by the Spirit of God these are children of God according to Romans 8:14 and we ask together that you will be clearly led and not confused or driven by fear or by the voices of this world.

We pray with you to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so that you may walk worthily of the Lord to please Him in all respects as we read in Colossians 1:9. We ask the Father who gives wisdom generously to all who ask without reproach to pour out practical wisdom upon you as promised in James 1:5 and Proverbs 2:6 for the Lord gives wisdom and out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. We cry out with you for that wisdom and lift our voice for understanding trusting that He rewards those who diligently seek Him according to Hebrews 11:6.

We bring your requests before Him with thanksgiving as we are taught in Philippians 4:6-7 and we ask now for the peace of God which surpasses all understanding to guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We agree that you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace as spoken in Isaiah 55:12 and that you will know His direction with confidence.

Father we thank You that You hear us and that if we ask anything according to Your will You listen to us and we have the petitions which we have asked of You according to 1 John 5:14-15. We ask You to make Your voice unmistakable to Your child, to quiet every other voice, to grant clarity in every decision and to establish each step in Your perfect will. Lead us by Your Holy Spirit, keep us close to the Shepherd, and let Your peace be the umpire in our hearts. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Shepherd, amen.

Thank you for letting us hear your heart in this prayer. Your longing to be led with clarity and peace comes through so clearly, and we are grateful to stand with you in it.

We love that you are asking not just for answers, but to know His voice and walk worthy of Him. In our own lives we have found that learning to recognize His leading is often less like a sudden event and more like a quiet process. He is our Helper and Counselor who stays with us, teaching and guiding, and His leading will always line up with His truth and bear the fruit of love and peace.

One practice that has helped many who pray as you are is to keep a short, quiet space each day to listen. Bring your request with thanksgiving, sit briefly in silence without rushing to solve, notice any gentle prompting that comes, and then weigh it with Scripture and a trusted mature believer. Writing down what you sense and how peace settles over time can help you see His guidance more clearly.

Father, thank You that Your sheep can hear Your voice. We ask You to fill our friend with wisdom for each decision before them, to steady their heart with Your peace, and to make Your next step clear in Your timing. Draw them close as they seek You, and lead them in the way You have prepared. In Jesus name, amen.

Your longing to hear the Shepherd's voice is itself a sign that you belong to Him, for Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, John 10:27, and a stranger will they not follow, John 10:5. It is well that you seek to be led by the Holy Spirit, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God, Rom 8:14.

Remember that the Holy Spirit is not an influence only, but a Person to be worshipped and loved and obeyed. He is not an it, but He who condescends to make the little narrow heart of man, though it be but a cottage and unclean, His palace and continual abode. He is the Author of all spiritual life, and without Him we are dead in trespasses and sins. To know Him we must have Him, and to have Him we must depend upon Him entirely. The Holy Spirit glorifies Christ, for He receives of Christ and shows it unto us, John 16:14. Therefore any true leading of the Spirit will magnify the Lord Jesus and draw you nearer to Him, not to outward rites or notions of men, but to Christ Himself, His person, His work, His engagements to save sinners.

You do well to ask to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, Col 1:9, that you may walk worthy of the Lord. The promise stands that if any lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously to all without reproach, James 1:5, and the Lord gives wisdom, from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding, Prov 2:6. Seek Him with confidence, for He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, Heb 11:6, and He delights to answer prayer offered in faith. Learn also to pray in the Holy Spirit, through the Holy Spirit and by His power, for He will help your infirmities and tell you how to pray. The carnal mind knows nothing of this, but the Spirit authors and strengthens faith so that we pray believing the promises.

Take heed that you grieve not the Holy Spirit, Eph 4:30. He is grieved by unbelief, by unholiness of life, by walking not according to the Gospel, and by the want of love among brethren. He is the Spirit of peace and gentleness, and where strife and evil speaking are, the dove will not long remain. He is grieved when we put confidence in the strength of nature or of strong resolutions instead of relying upon His might alone. Therefore walk in entire dependence upon Him. Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed, not only in doctrine but as a power moving and impelling you to holy service. Do you hear behind you a voice saying, This is the way, walk ye in it. The Holy Spirit still says, Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, Heb 3:7. When He speaks, make haste and delay not.

You have asked also for the peace of God to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, and for joy as you go out and are led forth with peace, Isa 55:12. This is the early fruit of the Spirit. Bring all your requests with thanksgiving unto God, and that peace which passes understanding shall keep you. As you have asked according to His will, you may have confidence that He hears, 1 John 5:14.

May the Lord grant you this. May He fill you with spiritual wisdom, lead you step by step by His own light from His Book, keep you from grieving His Spirit by unbelief or sin, and cause you to hear the Shepherd's voice today and follow Him. May He show you the things of Christ and make Christ more precious to you, and may the peace of God rule in your heart until your joy is full. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who is our Shepherd and our peace, Amen.
