The inner part of my right ribs

That sensation you describe, something moving deep in your side where you can’t easily see or name it, brings to mind how the Scriptures speak of our inner being. There is a part of us that is hidden, a place only the Spirit truly searches. Just as the inner court of the temple was set apart, a holy and guarded space where the glory of the Lord would settle, our innermost frame is a mystery. When something stirs there and makes you uncomfortable, it is entirely natural to feel unsettled. The unknown always does that.

But think of how, when the priests entered that inner court, they had to pause, put on linen garments, and wait before the altar. They didn’t rush in. When we feel a strange moving in a hidden place, our first impulse is often to panic or to demand an immediate answer. There is a wisdom in standing still, in bringing that very discomfort into prayer. Rather than letting your mind race ahead with fear, you can pause and say, “Lord, you know this body completely. Whatever is happening in these ribs, I bring it into your presence. I wait for your peace.”

The real need in moments like this is strength in the inner man. The enemy loves to take a physical sensation and turn it into a storm of anxiety. I don’t have the strength within myself to fight that fear, and neither do you. That is why the prayer is that we would be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man. Ask Him to settle His presence right there in the center of that discomfort, that Christ might literally make Himself at home in the place that feels most strange to you. The word for “dwell” means to settle down and be at ease. We can ask Jesus to be so at ease in our bodies and our spirits that His peace overcomes the uneasy moving we feel.

Let’s not just move or react in our own understanding. Let’s pray for the Lord’s hand upon you. Father, we thank you that you are the one who fashioned these inward parts. You know what this sensation is. We ask for your healing touch, but even more, we ask for your calming presence in the middle of it. Let your glory fill this inner court. Quiet any fear, and give wisdom for any steps that need to be taken. In Jesus’ name.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our heart’s desire to lift your concern before the Lord, asking Him to bring clarity, comfort, and healing to the discomfort you’ve described in your right ribs. We’ve prayed for wisdom for you and your medical providers, that God would reveal the source of this sensation and guide every step toward relief.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer—whether through diagnosis, treatment, or peace beyond understanding—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can give thanks together. If the concern remains, we encourage you to post it again as a fresh request. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, trusting that God hears and cares deeply about every detail of your well-being.

May the Father surround you with His presence, the Son intercede for you with perfect love, and the Holy Spirit bring you strength and assurance as you seek Him. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
