The gift of healing

Tachick

Faithful Servant
Please ask God to give me the gift of healing. Healing of my shoulder, neck and back. I'm so discouraged and we already have so many doctor bills. Please pray for me that I have no more pain if it is His will. I ask in the name of Jesus. Thank you and God bless you. ###

We hear your cry for healing, both physically and emotionally, and we stand with you in faith, lifting your needs to the Lord. The pain you carry in your shoulder, neck, and back is heavy, and the weight of medical bills only adds to your discouragement. But we know that our God is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals (Exodus 15:26), and He hears the prayers of His children.

First, we want to affirm that you have come to the right place by calling on the name of Jesus. There is power in His name, no other name under heaven is given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His will that we pray in His name, believing that He hears us. We rejoice that you have done just that.

The gift of healing is indeed a spiritual gift mentioned in Scripture, as 1 Corinthians 12:9 tells us that one of the gifts of the Spirit is "gifts of healings." However, we must remember that these gifts are distributed by the Holy Spirit as He wills (1 Corinthians 12:11), and they are given for the common good of the body of Christ. While we can ask God for healing, both for ourselves and for the ability to minister healing to others, we must always submit to His perfect will. James 4:15 reminds us to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that." Even Jesus, in His humanity, prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done" (Luke 22:42).

We also want to encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in how to care for your body. While we pray for miraculous healing, we also recognize that God often works through natural means. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." This may mean continuing to seek medical advice, physical therapy, or other treatments that God may use to bring healing. We do not believe that seeking medical help demonstrates a lack of faith, rather, it can be an act of stewardship over the body God has given you (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Your discouragement is understandable, but we want to remind you that God sees your pain and your faithfulness. Psalm 34:18 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not forgotten, and your suffering is not in vain. In fact, your dependence on God in this season can be a powerful testimony to others. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 tells us that God "comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is carrying the burden of physical pain and financial strain. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch their shoulder, neck, and back with Your healing hand. If it is Your will, bring complete restoration and relief from this pain. We also ask, Father, that You would provide for their needs, financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on You (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their faith in this season. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your purposes, even when the path is difficult. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28) and that their suffering is not without purpose. If it is Your will, Father, we ask that You would grant them the gift of healing, not only for their own relief but also that they might be used to bring healing to others in Your name.

We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or despair that seeks to steal their hope. Fill them with Your joy and peace, Lord, as they wait on You. Surround them with Your presence and let them feel Your love in tangible ways. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promises, believing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Spend time in His Word, allowing Scripture to renew your mind and strengthen your faith. Psalm 119:50 says, "This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has given me life." Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And remember, even if healing does not come in the way or timing you hope for, God’s grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

You are not alone in this journey. We stand with you in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We hear how heavy this has become for you, living with pain in your shoulder, neck and back and feeling discouraged under the weight of doctor bills. Thank you for sharing so honestly and for asking in Jesus' name and trusting His will even while you hurt. That trust matters to God.

It is understandable to feel worn down when healing does not come quickly and expenses keep growing. You are not forgotten in this, and we want to keep standing with you in prayer for relief, for strength for each day, and for wisdom for those caring for you.

As you continue to seek healing, please keep staying in touch with your medical team about the ongoing pain so they know what you are still experiencing. Alongside prayer, their guidance is an important part of your care. If the bills feel overwhelming, many clinics have someone in their office who can talk through payment plans or resources, and it can be worth asking.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the pain and discouragement and the financial strain. We ask for Your mercy and healing according to Your will, for comfort in body and spirit, and for wisdom and kindness from every doctor and helper involved. Give peace in the waiting and hope for the days ahead. Amen.

Your request has been heard and brought before the Lord with sincere compassion. We hear the weariness in your words, the constant pain in your shoulder, neck and back, the discouragement that has settled upon you, and the heavy weight of many doctor bills. The Lord sees and knows all of this burden, and He invites those who are heavy laden to come to Him.

We are reminded that there is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. When Christ was upon the earth, healing power went forth with His teaching, and still today faith comes by hearing the Word of God. We also remember His gracious words, My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Your burden of pain and care is not light in itself, but when Christ is with you and bears it with you, He gives strength in the inner man to carry it.

We join you in prayer, asking according to the will of our heavenly Father and in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord:

Our gracious Father, we come before Your throne of mercy in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear soul who is afflicted in body and wearied in spirit. Lord, You know the pain in shoulder, neck and back, every sleepless night and every anxious thought over bills that have multiplied. We ask, if it be Your holy and good will, that You would grant healing and relief from pain. Lay Your pardoning and healing hand upon this body and grant restoration according to Your perfect wisdom and love. Where healing tarries, grant sustaining grace, patience and hope. Lift the burden of discouragement and replace it with the comfort of Your presence. Provide for every need, for You know we have need of these things, and You are able to supply. Help this dear one to cast this burden upon You, to trust not in our own strength but in Christ who bore our sins and carries our sorrows. Let Your peace guard heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Amen.

Take heart and continue to cast your burden upon Him, for while Jehovah lives the mourner need not despair. He will not despise a broken and contrite heart that seeks Him. Rest in His sovereignty and mercy, knowing that whether He grants immediate healing or sustaining grace day by day, His love toward you in Christ is unfailing. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and give you renewed strength as you wait upon Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
